  • Patent number: 10953302
Abstract: A ring guard is provided as a sleeve with first and second width edges and a length extending between the width edge. The sleeve first width edge is open into an interior of the sleeve. The sleeve first width edge is configured to receive a strap of a gymnastics ring into an interior of the sleeve. The second width edge has a loop. The loop has a distal end with a releasable connector. The loop distal end releasable connector is releasably connectable with the sleeve at the second width edge in a manner such that when the loop is directed through an inner diameter of a gymnastics ring, the loop holds the sleeve in position relative to the gymnastics ring. The sleeve may have releasable connectors to allow the sleeve to be arranged around the gymnastics ring strap with the loop around the gymnastics ring.

  • Patent number: 10357723
Abstract: An automatic inflatable structure deflation system has a cover panel that is detachable attached over a deflation opening in the wall of the inflatable structure. The cover panel is pull away from the inflatable structure by a deflation line extending from the cover panel to a tie-down element in the event that the inflatable structure is displaced. The deflation opening is relatively large to enable quick deflation of the inflatable structure. A deflation opening may have a deflation opening area ratio, or area of the opening to the volume of air within the inflatable structure of 0.01 cm2/cc or more. A deflation opening may have a length of 25 cm or more. The cover panel is sealed to the inflatable structure by a seal feature such as a hook-and-loop fastener and/or a press-seal feature.

  • Publication number: 20180036703
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to an apparatus for a feeder system. The apparatus includes a reactant source, a reactant reservoir, a frame, and a valve. The reactant source contains a first reactant. The reactant reservoir receives the first reactant from the reactant source and applies a second reactant to the first reactant to facilitate a chemical reaction. The frame is coupled to the reactant source to maintain the reactant source gravitationally directly above the reactant reservoir. The valve is disposed between the reactant source and the reactant reservoir to control flow of the first reactant into the reactant reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20130257607
Abstract: A warning device includes a housing, a power source, a control unit, sensors and alarms. The control unit is in the housing. The sensors are operably connected to the control unit. The sensors detect the presence of an object in each of at least two designated detection zones. The alarms are operably connected to the control unit. The alarms are responsive to a signal from the control unit when objects have been detected in at least two designated detection zones. A method of warning of potential collisions including the steps of: defining at least two designated detection zones; detecting the presence of an object in the zones; determining when objects are present in more than one zone and determining if these are in defined potential collision combinations; and if the objects are present in the more than one zones and in the defined potential collision combinations then activating a warning.

  • Patent number: 7614203
Abstract: A valve assembly for use with a self-sealing collapsible storage bag, the valve assembly having a first portion comprising a housing that has a sealing surface and contains a valve mechanism. A second portion has a sealing surface that is configured to mate with the sealing surface of the first portion. A snap mechanism is configured to allow the first and second portions to be snapped together with their respective sealing surfaces facing each other to form a substantially airtight seal. In operation, the first and second portions are positioned on opposing sides of a panel of a plastic storage bag, and snapped together so as to sandwich the panel between the first and second portions of the valve assembly. The plastic bag is pierced in the area of the valve assembly either during installation of the valve assembly, or later by insertion of a nozzle. Gas or fluid such as air may be selectively removed from or added to the interior of the storage bag through the valve mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6871360
Abstract: A head and neck restraint device for being worn by a driver while operating a high performance vehicle in which the device controls the driver's head from snapping forward and downwards during a frontal vehicular crash. The device includes a pair of anchor straps that are worn along the back of the driver. The straps are adapted for being connected to the driver's helmet and for being anchored to either the vehicle's seat belt assembly and/or to the driver's legs. The restraint device itself does not inhibit the driver from exiting the vehicle as exiting may occur after simply unlatching the vehicle's seat belt assembly. Moreover, since the restraint device is neither rigid nor bulky the driver may quickly exit the vehicle without being restricted by the device.

  • Publication number: 20030198716
Abstract: A system and method of maintaining the integrity of freshly harvested, or freshly cut fruits and vegetables. Specifically, the invention focuses on a distinct series of processes which confer a lower total microbial count, delay browning, improve general organoleptic properties, and decrease the amount of chemical contaminants on the exposed surfaces without the use of preservatives. Examples of such process may be applying a first produce integrity maintenance process, a second produce integrity maintenance process, application of an antibrowning agent to the produce by a produce antibrown agent applicator, exposing the produce to ultraviolet light by an ultraviolet light system, and applying an ozone treatment by an ozone treatment system.

  • Patent number: 6499149
Abstract: A head and neck restraint device, worn by a driver when operating a high performance vehicle, which controls the driver's head from snapping forward and maintains the driver's head, neck and spine in general alignment in the event of a frontal crash. The device includes a pair of anchor straps that are worn along the back of the driver and have first end which connects to the driver's helmet by use of hooks and tethers, and second ends which extends between the driver's legs for connection to a seat belt assembly. A chest strap and a waist strap are attached to the anchor straps for keeping the anchor straps separated at a predetermined distance. When exiting the vehicle, the driver unlatches a standard vehicle seat belt assembly and the restraint device is simultaneously released from the vehicle. Since the restraint is neither rigid nor bulky, the driver can quickly exit the vehicle unrestricted by the device.
