Abstract: A trolley support system (100) includes at least one intelligent trolley (102) designed for use onboard passenger transportation vehicles such as aircraft. The trolley (102) includes a housing (106) with an internal compartment (108) and a door (110) that provides selective access to the internal compartment. The door is movable between a closed position and an unclosed position. The trolley also includes a control sensor (116) that configured to detect at least one characteristic of the trolley and a visual indicator (122) configured to emit a visual transmission based on the at least one detected characteristic. A trolley node (104) having a controller may be included with the trolley and may be communicatively coupled to the control sensor and the visual indicator.

Abstract: A container extraction assembly that includes an extractor assembly and a retainer assembly. The extractor assembly includes a pull member and an extractor member. The extractor member is movable between a distal position and a proximal position and the pull member is movable between first, second third positions. Moving the pull member from the first position to the third position moves the extractor member from the distal to the proximal position. The retainer assembly includes a proximal leg member and a distal leg member that are hingedly connected to one another. The retainer assembly is movable between a deployed position, a folded position and a finish position. Moving the pull member from the first position to the second position moves the retainer assembly from the deployed to the folded position, and moving the pull member from the second position to the third position moves the retainer assembly from the folded to the finish position.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to espresso makers that brew beverages without power. The machines are designed to work under manual power, delivering hot water to the brew portion of the machine from an integrated hot water source. The machines may be mounted on aircraft trolleys for seat-side coffee and/or espresso service.

Abstract: Galley trolley compartment doors that replace traditional trolley retainer latches used to secure trolleys when positioned in galley compartments. The galley trolley compartment doors are designed with engaging arms that help secure the trolleys in place under required loads. Some embodiments of the galley trolley compartment doors are designed with thicknesses that can help improve cooling of the trolley compartment.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to improved braking systems for slide extractors. Slide extractors are generally used in aircraft galleys in order to move containers forward. The disclosed slide extractor braking system provides cooperation between magnets and corresponding conductive material in order to manage and appropriately slow retraction of the slide extractor in use.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a passenger catering system by using a server, the server comprising a processor and a memory unit, wherein the processor is connected to the memory unit and wherein the processor is configured to execute the following steps: receiving first input data from a passenger interface device; comparing the first input data with stock data in a database stored in the memory unit; and transmitting first output data to a crew interface device; wherein the first output data comprise data on available stock coinciding with the received first input data. The invention also relates to a passenger catering system for a passenger transport vehicle operated via the server.
