The architecture includes a friction brake; an electromechanical actuator associated with a power module connected to a digital communication module by a first driver module; and a controller having both a power supply unit for powering the power module by delivering a power supply voltage (Vc) thereto, and also a control unit connected to the digital communication unit in order to transmit a digital control signal to the digital communication module. The control unit can be connected to the driver unit by an analog wired connection in order to transmit that to a first analog braking order from which the first driver module drives the power module to produce a degraded power supply current for the actuator.

    Abstract: An encapsulated shock absorber of an aircraft undercarriage includes a sliding rod slidably mounted in a leg strut of the undercarriage and an inner cylinder extending inside the strut. The inner cylinder is fastened to the strut via a top end, and the rod slides around the inner cylinder. The inner cylinder is terminated inside the sliding rod by a diaphragm that defines an oil chamber in the shock absorber and inside the sliding rod. A mixed oil/gas chamber is located in the inner cylinder, and an expansion chamber extends between the sliding rod and the inner cylinder. A hole being made in the inner cylinder in register with the expansion chamber is connected by a pipe to a pressure sensor situated outside the strut. The pipe extends inside the inner cylinder from the hole to the top end of the inner cylinder.

    Abstract: A landing gear system includes a landing gear assembly coupled to a body of a vehicle and configured for reciprocating motion between a retracted position and an extended position. A fail-secure uplock assembly is reciprocal between a locked state and an unlocked state. A first electromagnet and a first permanent magnet are mounted to the body, and a second electromagnet and a second permanent magnet are mounted to a component of the landing gear assembly. The first and second electromagnets generate magnetic fields with reversible polarities. When the landing gear assembly is in the retracted position, the first permanent magnet is attracted to the second permanent magnet. The first electromagnet is attracted to the second electromagnet when the uplock assembly is in the locked state and is repelled by the second electromagnet when the uplock assembly is in the unlocked state.
