Abstract: A system and method are described herein that prioritize users into waiting queues based on the previously measured end user response time for each user or a user's expectancy for a shorter response time. A user profile may be generated for each user based on the user's expectancy, performance needs, or attributes about the user. The system and method may provide access to a server for each user based on their placement and prioritization in each queue, creating distinct server and/or end user response times for distinct users.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses provide for a meta-repository to store business processes from different backend systems and make the business processes available to the different backend systems. In one embodiment, the backend systems execute incompatible software, but the business processes are standardized and can be instantiated in each of the backend systems.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and systems for displaying tabular data. The tabular data comprises first data descriptive of instances of an entity and second data comprising time variant parameter values. The parameter values are analyzed to identify time intervals, where none of the parameter values of any of the instances changes. These time intervals form the basis for the generation of subsets of the tabular data to be displayed on a graphical user interface.

Abstract: Multiple development models of software applications utilizing different service environments may be annotated with additional information and transformed within a transformation chain into a resulting unified performance analysis model that may be used to evaluate the development models, for example, for simulations and/or analytical sensitivity analysis by utilizing different performance analysis environments. By relating elements of the development models through the transformation chain to elements of resulting unified models, the evaluation may be performed with respect to the resulting/transformed model, but provided to a user in terms of the original development models. In this way, a user of the development models may work with the more-familiar development models, utilizing multiple different performance analysis tools, without having to alter the development models directly in order to obtain the evaluation.

Abstract: A method for providing a planning framework for use in managing a project to be planned in a supply chain, comprising providing a first software layer for storing and manipulating planning data relative to the planning project; providing a second software layer for communicating with the first software layer, the second layer arranged for pre processing, preparing and post processing a predetermined planning method. By such a multilayered framework, the invention is able to execute a planning algorithms to solve multi-level planning problems, wherein generic modules can be executed as fast modules in an environment that is highly optimized in terms of load on time and system resources and specifically adapted modules are embodying a particular planning strategy that can operate on a different level that is highly flexible.

The metadata enables an enterprise user to modify a function of the backend application from within the context of the groupware client. The groupware client sends metadata describing the modification back to the backend application where the modification is applied.

Abstract: First data associated with a task originating from one of a plurality of applications may be received via a communications network. Thereafter, an entity to which the task has been assigned may be identified to allow for an associated delivery context to be determined. A format of the first data may be converted so that it is compatible with the determined delivery context to generate second data. This second data may be transmitted to a node associated with the entity via the communications network. A user interface associated with the first node may be operable to initiate one or more transactions associated with the task using the second data. According to an embodiment of the invention, an engine retrieves a form template from a data store, the form template specifying a plurality of form elements, parses the form template to identify one or more configurable form elements from the plurality of form elements, presents to a user via a user interface one or more selectable options specifying configuration settings to govern modifications of the one or more identified configurable form elements, receives from the user interface a selection of the one or more options provided by the user, generates a descriptor identifying the selected options provided by the user, and associates the descriptor with the form template.
