Patents Assigned to Sahlin International, Inc.
  • Patent number: 5017083
Abstract: Work-handling apparatus, such as may be used in automatically loading and unloading a press in the manufacture of large sheet metal components, is arranged to reciprocate a work-handling attachment substantially linearly. The attachment is pivotally mounted on a crank lever, which is pivotally mounted on a crank arm, which is pivotally mounted on mounting means, the pivot axes of the crank arm, which is pivotally mounted on mounting means, the pivot axes of the crank arm and the attachment being substantially equi-distant from that of the crank lever. By means of geared connection between the mounting means and the crank lever (in the ratio of substantially 2:1), and between the crank arm and the attachment (in the ratio of substantially 1:2) the attachment is caused to maintain a substantially constant angular orientation during linear movement resulting from the coordinated rotations of the crank lever and the crank arm.

  • Patent number: 4154147
Abstract: A defrost and water drain valve suitable for use with air cylinders, such as used to furnish power to material handling equipment, is connected to receive air from the exhaust side of the piston and direct this air against the inlet end of the cylinder and is constructed so that it can also automatically function to permit drainage of condensed water in the cylinder. The valve includes means to control flow to and from the exhaust side of the piston and the use of its features in a flow control valve and a check valve is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4031918
Abstract: A fluid flow control valve has a rotary spool with one or more standard, circular O-rings held in stretched condition by shoulders on the spool so that instead of extending all the way around the circumference of the spool each O-ring extends only a part of the way around the circumference and has two longitudinally extending sections as well as two arcuate circumferential sections that serve to seal the spool in the spool bore both during movement and while it is in a selected fluid flow controlling position.
