Abstract: A method of forming a corrosion resistant bushing includes bonding a sliding layer to a first surface of a load bearing substrate to form a laminate sheet and cutting a blank from the laminate sheet. The laminate sheet includes an exposed surface corresponding to a second surface of the load bearing substrate. The blank includes cut edges having a load bearing substrate portion. The method further includes forming a semi-finished bushing from the blank, and applying a corrosion resistant coating to the exposed surface and the load bearing substrate portion of the cut edges to form the corrosion resistant bushing.
Abstract: The invention relates to a bearing bush (1) comprising an essentially cylindrical bush section (1a) and at least one radial flange (1b) arranged on an axial end of said cylindrical bush section (1a). The bearing bush according to the invention is characterized in that the at least one flange (1b) has a mushroom shaped cross section so as to allow axial and radial tolerance compensation in a bearing assembly. Furthermore the invention relates to a bearing assembly and a forming tool for producing a bearing bush.

The ring has a proximal end including a major lip, a distal end including a minor lip, and a seal contacting region between the major lip and the minor lip. Additionally, the ring including an inner surface defining a central bore. Within the seal contacting region, the central bore has a radius that decreases along a direction extending from the minor lip to the major lip. The seal has a ring contacting outer portion and a shaft contacting inner portion. The ring contacting outer portion is shaped to be complementary to the inner surface of the seal contacting region of the ring. The shaft contacting inner portion is configured to contact a shaft placed within the central bore of the ring.
