Abstract: A chest for cooling glass plates. A box is formed from a rigid support having at least a side panel on which are fixed nozzles. Each nozzle is made of two plate flanges and a strap perforated with blow holes. The flanges are made in a single piece having tabs folded in the direction of the neighboring flanges. Elements fixing the flanges mutually and fixing the straps to the flanges are produced by riveting or interposition of a sealant.
Abstract: A fire-resistant glazing assembly comprises two glass sheets (1, 2) connected together along their edges by a spacer (3) and a water-containing interlayer (4) between the two panes (1, 2). The spacer (3) is made of silicone rubber. A bead (6) of a heat-activated foaming material is advantageously placed between the spacer (3) and the adhesive sealing material (7) serving to provide the peripheral seal.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition for a hydrophobic/oleophobic coating containing at least one alkoxysilane and at least one halosilane, each having a perfluorinated group at at least one end of their molecule; it also relates to a process for forming a coating of this type on a substrate, as well as to this substrate itself when provided with its coating and, in particular, monolithic, laminated or multiple glazing at least in part provided with its coating.
Abstract: The invention relates to a laminated pane (1), in particular heating or aerial pane, having electrically conductive wires (2) which are embedded in a thermoplastic adhesion layer (3) and are in electrical contact in particular with at least one connection element, and is distinguished by the fact that the wires (2) comprise at least two conductive material layers, one of which consists of a metal which can withstand high mechanical loads and the other of which consists of a metal of higher electrical conductivity and good solderability. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the laminated pane (1), there are electrically conductive wires (2) which have a core which is made from a metal which can withstand mechanical loads and is sheathed by a metal of higher conductivity and good solderability.
Abstract: A laminated glazing material with properties of acoustic insulation and mechanical strength. The laminated glazing material including two glass sheets and a single-ply intermediate layer of a thickness having the form of a polymer film. The thickness of the intermediate layer being defined as a function of a variable which is specific to the material, and which defines the critical energy value of the intermediate layer and is representative of the energy necessary for propagation of a crack initiated in the intermediate layer.
Abstract: An actuation device capable of adapting a conventional pump dispenser into a lever or trigger sprayer, the actuation device having a housing comprised of a first part that is removably connected to a second part and when the two parts are connected, a pump dispenser is received within the housing. The first part of the housing has an opening adjacent the nozzle of the pump dispenser that allows the contents of the pump dispenser to be sprayed out through the opening. A lever is hingedly mounted to the housing via a plurality of trunnions and associated trunnion cradles and has a leg portion that makes holding and squeezing the lever easy and comfortable. The lever also has at least one arm disposed adjacent an annular rim of the skirt of the pump dispenser so that when the lever is moved, the arm of the lever presses against the annular rim and causes the pump dispenser to actuate and spray fluid from the pump dispenser to the target.
Abstract: For the manufacture of a glass substrate bearing a multicolor decoration or image consisting of inks(s) for firing, a model of the multicolor decoration or image consisting of ink(s) of any type is manufactured on a support which is suitable for these inks. By means of a reproduction device composed of an image-capturing device, image-processing software and a printing means, the model is transferred onto the sheet of glass using one or more inks for firing. The layer of ink is then fired.
Abstract: The present document describes a process for manufacturing a pane of laminated glass without recourse to an autoclave. The pack of layers are composed of stacked layers (6, 7, 8), is raised to the softening temperature of the thermoplastic interlayer of the pack of layers in a preheat channel (1). The preheated pack of layers is put under vacuum in a vacuum assembly station (2) for the purpose of extracting the gas from the spaces separating the layers (6, 7, 8). After the gas has been extracted, the edge of the pack of layers, which is held under vacuum, is mechanically compressed inside the vacuum box and is thus sealed. Finally, the pack of layers is brought to atmospheric pressure and its temperature further increased in a postheat channel (4).

Abstract: The invention relates to a glass substrate having on at least one of its faces an antireflection coating formed by a stack of thin dielectric material layers having alternately high and low refractive indices. To prevent the modification of the optical properties of the coating in the case where the substrate is subject to a heat treatment such as tempering, bending or annealing, the layer or layers of the stack which are liable to deteriorate on contact with alkali ions such as sodium ions are separated form the substrate by at least one layer forming part of the antireflection coating and forming a “shield” with respect to the diffusion of alkali.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of processing an electrochemical device having at least one carrier substrate (1) provided with a stack (2) of functional layers, including at least one electrochemically active layer (4) which is capable of reversibly and simultaneously inserting ions and electrons and is arranged between two electroconductive layers, in particular a device of the electrochromic type. The processing consists in locally inhibiting the functionality of at least one of the functional layers, with the exception of one of the electroconductive layers (3, 8), so as to delimit an inactive peripheral region in the stack (2).

Abstract: A fluid pump dispenser of the loss motion piston type provides for maintaining the discharge open a slight interval at the commencement of each plunger upstroke while the pump chamber expands to retract product from the discharge passage into the chamber to thereby avoid the formation of product droplets at the exit end of the discharge. Such is effected in accordance with one embodiment by reducing the friction force acting between the piston and the pump cylinder relative to the friction force acting between the piston and the stem. In another embodiment an inlet valve assembly has a portion lying in the path of the piston which portion is connected by spring legs to a valve portion such that the restoring force of the spring legs shifts the piston together with the stem at the commencement of the plunger upstroke which maintains the discharge passage in open communication with the chamber.

Abstract: A frame includes a plurality of screen bar segments. To form the screen bar, a flat malleable strip is provided. The strip is roll-formed to form a tube having a tensioning step on its face. The tensioning step extends along a length of the tube. The tensioning step has a mounting surface, which may be the bottom of the tensioning step. A hot-melt adhesive is applied to the mounting surface. The screen is spread across the frame, so that the screen extends over the mounting surface of each screen bar segment. The screen is secured to the face of the frame with an adhesive at a plurality of positions across a length of the mounting surface of at least one screen bar segment. The adhesive may be a hot melt adhesive. The screen is inserted with a plurality of pins to intermittently suspend the screen in the adhesive across the length of the screen bar segment. An apparatus for securing the screen to the screen bar segment includes a support surface that holds a screen bar segment.
