Abstract: A door handle device including a handle body which is manipulated when a vehicle door is opened and closed, a case for receiving the handle body and mounted on the vehicle door, and a spring disposed between the case and the handle body and adapted to exert a return force to the handle body. The handle body includes a handle portion and a lever, the lever being provided at one end thereof with a cylindrical projection served as a hinge pin. The handle body thus constructed is integrally formed of a plastic material. The case, in which the handle body is received, includes a base mounted on the side of the vehicle door, a column-like stay mounted on the base and a spring retainer portion for retaining the spring, the stay is provided with a part thereof with an engaging portion into which the projection of the lever is fitted for engagement. Abstract: A light-passing decorative object made of light-passing synthetic resin is characterized in that a film piece on which letters, patterns or the like are displayed in such a manner as to be seen therethrough is intimately bonded to a notch-cut back side of a light-passing decorative member. The decorative member is provided a back side thereof with a face brightening device. The face brightening device has optical fibers arranged in parallel relation. The optical fibers being provided with a notched portion so as to be brightened. One ends of the optical fibers are bundled to form a bundle portion and attached to a coupler for coupling to a light source.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a decorative object made of colorless transparent or colored semi-transparent synthetic resin is provided wherein a film, on which letters, patterns or the like are displayed, is bonded to a notch-cut back side of the object. The steps of the method include setting the film onto a notch-cut and engraved surface of a die half, closing the die half with another die half, and injecting the transparent or semi-transparent synthetic resin into the closed die halves to mold the decorative object and to closely bond the film to the notch-cut surface of the decorative object thus molded.

Abstract: A face brightening device for use with vehicles comprising optical fibers and a light source wherein the light source is attached to one or both ends of the optical fibers to brighten those notched faces of the optical fibers which form letters, patterns, brightening faces and the like needed inside and outside the vehicles. The face brightening device can be made smaller in size, simpler in construction, lighter in weight, more saving in space, and much more excellent in water-proofness, heat-resistance, weather- proofness and insulation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of plastic molded articles having a metal film and exhibiting a metallic luster, said process comprising (a) coating an ultraviolet-curing acrylic resin type undercoating paint on the surface of a plastic molded article and irradiating the molded article with ultraviolet rays to form a base coat layer, (b) forming a metal film layer of chromium or stainless steel on the base coat layer by a sputtering process, and (c) coating on the metal film layer a top coating paint comprising as main components an acryl polyol having an OH value of 10 to 200 and an acid value of 1 to 12 and a non-yellowing polyisocyanate and curing the top coating paint to form a top coat layer.
