    Abstract: Disclosed is a cathode ray tube comprised of a funnel with flute sections wherein the Beam Shadow Neck phenomenon can be prevented while at the same time ensuring adequate structural strength to prevent collapse due to an internal vacuum. These optimum flute sections are accomplished with the help of a computer simulation performance wherethrough electron beam orbits and funnel stress are interpreted.
