The WLAN terminal supporting a mobile infrastructure mode effectively provides a tethering service to external devices by managing external devices using an operating device list and a waiting device list. The method includes: receiving a connection request from a device, determining whether an operating device list is full, adding the device to the operating device list when the operating device list is not full, providing a tethering service to the device, determining whether a waiting device list is full when the operating device list is full, adding the device to the waiting device list when the waiting device list is not full, and permitting connection of the device and preventing the device from receiving a tethering service, and rejecting the connection request when the waiting device list is full.

Abstract: Provided are a mobile device and method for operating a graphic user interface (GUI) in connection with a specific screen of a media-related application. In the method for operating the GUI, the mobile device displays a GUI screen containing a media region and a text region. The media region is provided for at least one medium disposed therein. When text is inputted in the text region, the mobile device correlates the text with one of the at least one medium. Additionally, when there is a touch on the media region, the mobile device modifies the GUI of the touched media. This method allows a user to conveniently write a message to which at least one media is attached. In case where a plurality of media are attached to a message a check of the media selected as an attachment and the associated text can easily be made.

Abstract: A display apparatus and an image generating method thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes an image receiver which receives a two-dimensional (2D) image; an image processor which applies depth information to the received 2D image to generate a three-dimensional (3D) image; a storage which stores depth information which is preset to a different value, respectively, for a broadcasting mode; and a controller which determines a broadcasting mode of the 2D image and applies depth information corresponding to the determined broadcasting mode among the depth information, which is stored in the storage, to the 2D image to generate the 3D image.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display for three-dimensional active shutter glasses is provided. The liquid crystal display includes an upper Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) electrode formed in a low surface of the upper glass and formed with a plurality of upper electrode patterns electrically connected to each other, and a lower ITO electrode formed in an upper surface of the lower glass and formed with a plurality of lower electrode patterns electrically connected to each other. Thereby, a liquid crystal operation characteristic is prevented from being deteriorated, a transmittance of incidence light is improved, and a user can view a brighter screen.

The 3D image processing apparatus includes: a display unit which alternately outputs a left eye image and a right eye image; a sync signal processing unit which generates a sync signal to alternately open a left eye shutter and a right eye shutter of 3D glasses in accordance with a timing of outputting the left eye image and the right eye image and transmits the generated sync signal to the 3D glasses; an On-Screen Display (OSD) processing unit which generates an OSD message; and a controlling unit which controls the display unit to output the OSD message between the left eye image and the right eye image so that the OSD message is not recognized when the 3D glasses are used. Accordingly, information regarding whether a 3D broadcast is being provided may be provided efficiently.

A master base station may schedule, with a first priority, master terminals, each of which has a preferred rank equal to a transmission rank of the master base station, and may transmit, to a slave base station, information associated with a group of scheduled master terminals. The slave base station may schedule, with different priorities, slave terminals based on whether a transmission rank of the slave base station is equal to the coordinated rank for the master base station.
