Abstract: Methods of forming a semiconductor device may include providing a feature layer having a first region and a second region. The methods may also include forming a dual mask layer on the feature layer. The methods may further include forming a variable mask layer on the dual mask layer. The methods may additionally include forming a first structure on the feature layer in the first region and a second structure on the feature layer in the second region by patterning the variable mask layer and the dual mask layer. The methods may also include forming a first spacer on a sidewall of the first structure and a second spacer on a sidewall of the second structure. The methods may further include removing the first structure while maintaining at least a portion of the second structure.

Abstract: A robot joint driving apparatus has an improved structure, a robot having the same, and a cable linkage method of the robot joint driving apparatus. In the robot joint driving apparatus, lines of a cable to drive a robot joint unit are connected plural times in parallel, thereby increasing torsional stiffness of the robot joint unit. Further, a cable fixing unit is provided on an output pulley, thereby preventing slippage of the cable on the output pulley. Moreover, the overall size of the robot joint driving apparatus is reduced due to an improved power transmission structure from a driving motor to the output pulley.

Abstract: A routing method of a wireless communication system is provided implementing advantageous features of both the tree routing and the link state routing. In the routing method, the system generates an adaptive tree table which defines a network in a tree structure of at least one branch with at least one node and each node generates a link state table which includes information on neighbor nodes, such that the packets are routed on the basis of the adaptive tree table and the link state table. Advantageous mechanisms of the tree routing and the link state routing are combined, thereby it is possible to eliminate most single point of failures of conventional tree routing and provide shorter paths compared with conventional tree routing.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for allocating a resource in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. In the method, a Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) level set and a burst size set to generate a codebook is determined. The codebook is generated using the MCS level set and the burst size set. Resource allocation information is one of generated and read according to the codebook.
Abstract: Integrated circuit memory devices include a plurality of vertically-stacked strings of nonvolatile memory cells having respective vertically-arranged channel regions therein electrically coupled to an underlying substrate. A control circuit is provided, which is configured to drive the vertical channel regions with an erase voltage that is ramped from a first voltage level to a higher second voltage level during an erase time interval. This ramping of the erase voltage promotes time efficient erasure of vertically stacked nonvolatile memory cells with reduced susceptibility to inadvertent programming of ground and string selection transistors (GST, SST).

Abstract: A tilt check apparatus and a tilt check method are provided. The tilt check apparatus checks a lens module including a sensor and a lens and includes: a light-emitting part which diffuses and outputs light to check a tilt of the lens module; a reflector which reflects the diffused light; an interface which, if the reflected light is sensed by the sensor of the lens module, receives the sensed result from the sensor; and a detector which detects depth information by using the sensed result received through the interface and detects a tilt state between the lens and the sensor based on the depth information. Therefore, efficiency of a tilt check process is improved.
Abstract: A terminal and a method for a programmable button on a bezel of the terminal are provided. For a mobile terminal comprising a touch sensor, a first display and at least one second display disposed at the bezel, the bezel at least partially surrounding the first display, the method includes mapping an object displayed on the first display to a button on the at least one second display, displaying the button on the at least one second display, and when the displayed button is actuated, performing an action corresponding to the object.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for reproducing multi-angle data in a seamless manner, even during a change of angle, and an information storage medium on which the multi-angle data is recorded. AV data divided into clips, which are recording units, is recorded on the information storage medium. Additional information regarding jump points is recorded on a space of the information storage medium other than where the clips are recorded. The apparatus for reproducing the multi-angle data includes a reading unit which reads data from the information storage medium, and a reproducing unit which reproduces the data read by the reading unit by searching for and reproducing clips corresponding to the read data when the read data is multi-angle data, and, if there is an angle change command, reproducing clips for a new angle from a jump point of the clip for the new angle.
Abstract: Gallium nitride (GaN) based semiconductor devices and methods of manufacturing the same. The GaN-based semiconductor device may include a heterostructure field effect transistor (HFET) or a Schottky diode, arranged on a heat dissipation substrate. The HFET device may include a GaN-based multi-layer having a recess region; a gate arranged in the recess region; and a source and a drain that are arranged on portions of the GaN-based multi-layer at two opposite sides of the gate (or the recess region). The gate, the source, and the drain may be attached to the heat dissipation substrate. The recess region may have a double recess structure. While such a GaN-based semiconductor device is being manufactured, a wafer bonding process and a laser lift-off process may be used.
Abstract: A washing machine capable of reducing the manufacturing cost of a circulation device installed to circulate water and capable of preventing water from being scattered when spraying circulating water into a spin basket is described. A tub cover of the washing machine includes a guide part provided with a connector, which is integrated with the tub cover, connected with a circulation passage, and inclined upward toward the tub cover, and an inclined surface inclined toward the spin basket at an inner edge of the tub cover, thereby reducing the manufacturing of the circulation device and preventing water from being scattered. The washing machine includes a circulation drain port formed at a side surface of a tub and a filtering duct connected with the circulation drain port, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the circulation device.

Abstract: There are provided a method and apparatus for delivering transport characteristics of multimedia data. According to an aspect of the present invention, transport characteristics of media data that can be divided in a unit of a Media Processing Unit (MPU) are created in a unit of a predetermined number of MPUs, the created transport characteristics and a flag indicating presence or absence of the created transport characteristics are inserted into the media data, and the resultant media data is delivered. Accordingly, by using transport characteristics in units of media data unit groups, each media data unit corresponding to a short time length, it is possible to effectively control Quality of Service (QoS) in a dynamically changing transport environment, like a mobile network.

The method includes transferring at least a portion of power between two NFC devices using different RF signals and appropriate NFC Transceivers. The method controls the power transmission between two NFC devices by proposed changes in NFC Digital Protocol, LLCP (Logical Link Control Protocol) and in the application flow control.
Abstract: A method of operating a server that manages first user information using a first terminal and second user information using a second terminal is provided.
