  • Publication number: 20240174393
Abstract: Strapping devices and methods are provided. The strapping device can include a member. The strapping device can include a first actuator coupled with the member to move the member between a first position and a second position. The strapping device can include a sensor to detect an electrical characteristic of the first actuator and to transmit a signal indicative of the electrical characteristic. The strapping device can include a data processing system. The data processing system can receive the signal and determine the member is in contact with a welding component based on the electrical characteristic. The data processing system can determine the second position of the member based on the member being in contact with the welding component. The data processing system can transmit a control signal to the first actuator and a second actuator to initiate a welding cycle with the member at the second position.

  • Publication number: 20240116142
Abstract: An apparatus can include a support, and a base member coupled with the support at a first end of the base member, the base member extending from the support. The apparatus can include an arm coupled with the base member at a second end of the base member, the arm extending from the base member to fit within an opening in a vessel. The apparatus can also include a welding head coupled with the arm, the welding head to weld a welding interface at an interior surface of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 11806728
Abstract: A system for washing a cathode comprises a frame configured to secure the cathode and a lifting assembly configured to transport the cathode in a substantially vertical direction. A spray head is coupled to the frame and is in fluid communication with a water supply such that the spray head sprays the cathode with water from the water supply. The washing system provides for washing both sides of a cathode simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20220048656
Abstract: A strapping device includes a handle, a body, and an actuator. The handle includes an input device and a switch, the input device spaced from the switch by a biasing element that applies a bias force to the input device. The input device moves from a first state spaced from the switch to a second state contacting the switch responsive to receiving a force greater than the bias force. A circuit of the switch is closed responsive to the input device moving from the first state to the second state. The switch outputs an actuation signal responsive to the circuit being closed. The body includes a tensioner and a base including a strap receiver opposite the tensioner. The actuator moves the tensioner from a first tensioner position to a second tensioner position further from the strap receiver based on a movement force greater than the bias force.

  • Patent number: 11247792
Abstract: A strapping device includes a body, a tensioner, and a handle. The body can have a first body end, a second body end, and a base extending between the first body end and the second body end. The tensioner can be coupled with the body and adjacent to the base, the body defining a strap axis between tensioner and the base, the tensioner applies a force to a strap received by the body along the strap axis. The handle can extend between a first handle end coupled with the first body end and a second handle end coupled with the second body end. The handle can be oriented at an angle relative to a plane parallel to the strap axis, the angle greater than or equal to 15 degrees and less than or equal to 45 degrees.

  • Publication number: 20210354916
Abstract: A system for singulating a component comprises a hopper, a singulating blade, and an actuator. The hopper further comprises a back wall, a hopper wall, a singulating wall, and a feed surface, the back wall rigidly connected to both the hopper wall and the singulating wall. The singulating blade is configured to slide between the hopper wall and the singulating wall between a first position and a second position. An actuator is configured to move the singulating blade between the first position and the second position so as to selectively carry a component to a component pocket defined by the singulating wall.
