  • Patent number: 7488143
Abstract: A turning tool includes an indexable turning insert with a polygonal basic shape. The turning insert includes opposite top and bottom sides, main clearance surfaces that extend between the sides and adjacent to main cutting edges, and a secondary cutting edge that is formed between each pair of main cutting edges and connects to a secondary clearance surface. Pairs of the main cutting edges approach each other in corners defining corner angles of at least 55° and at most 80°. Each of the main and secondary clearance surfaces define respective clearance angles with respect to an imaginary reference plane perpendicular to the top side, and the clearance angle of the secondary clearance surface is at least 1° greater than the clearance angle of the main clearance surface. In such a way, internal turning is provided for exceptionally small holes having diameters in the range of 12 to 6 millimeters.

  • Patent number: 7487931
Abstract: A cutting tool for attachment to the leading area of a base is provided. The cutting tool includes a holder base having two substantially parallel cutting teeth extending from the holder base, the cutting teeth each having a cutting edge and an opening between the teeth. The cutting teeth define first and second cutting paths. The cutting teeth impact and cut asphalt shingles, and funneling surfaces of the teeth funnel the cut shingle material toward and through the opening, and into the path of the rear cutting member which cuts the material a second time. Thus, asphalt shingles are processed more efficiently, thereby creating less frictional heat and avoiding melting of the asphalt shingles.

  • Patent number: 7488142
Abstract: A cutting tool includes a basic body and a cutting body that is fixable to the basic body via a male/female coupling. The coupling includes male-like fingers and female-like seats, which are delimited between elastically resilient projections. Each finger includes two converging wedge surfaces, which are pressable against a pair of diverging support surfaces of two adjacent projections. The axial angle of convergence of the two wedge surfaces of an individual finger differ from the angle of divergence of the two co-operating support surfaces of the projections, as long as the fingers are not loaded against the projections. In such a way, the removal of the cutting body from the basic body is facilitated.

  • Patent number: 7469489
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method relating to the operation of a burner and/or cooler (3), wherein gases are caused to flow through an inner pipe (7), out into an outer pipe (5) which surrounds the inner pipe (7), and back through that part of the volume of the outer pipe (5) not accommodated by the volume of the inner pipe (7). The invention is characterised by placing an inner bottom plates (8) in the outer pipe (5) in spaced relationship with the closed bottom (9) of said outer pipe (5), whereby the gases flowing through the inner pipe (7) and out into the outer pipe (5) are caused to turn back and pass between the outer pipe (5) and the inner pipe (7), thereby creating a gas pocket (12) between the bottom (9) of said outer pipe (5) and the bottom plate (8).
