Abstract: The invention relates to a rock drilling rig and a method for downhill driving of a rock drilling rig. The rock drilling rig comprises electric drive equipment, the drive motor of which serves as a primary brake in long-term downhill driving. The drive motor thus converts kinetic energy into electric energy, with which an energy storage is charged. To consume surplus electric energy, a hydraulic system or a compressed air system is turned on. A hydraulic pump and a compressor (54) are driven by an electric motor.

Abstract: A mining vehicle includes electric components, devices or machines operating at alternating voltage and having a specific nominal voltage. Power is fed to the mining vehicle from an alternating current network with a specific voltage level. The mining vehicle further includes a transformer arranged to transform the voltage level of the alternating current network into the nominal voltage. When a voltage higher than the nominal voltage is fed to the transformer, the transformer lowers this higher voltage to the nominal voltage. When a voltage lower than the nominal voltage is fed to the transformer, the transformer raises the voltage to the nominal voltage. The transformer is arranged to feed the electric component, device or machine both when a voltage lower than the nominal voltage is fed to the transformer and when a voltage higher than the nominal voltage is fed to the transformer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a percussion device having a body and a percussion piston moving therein, pressure fluid spaces in the rear and front ends of the percussion piston and pressure fluid channels for feeding pressure fluid into the percussion device. The percussion piston and the control valve comprise surfaces, which, when aligned, substantially close the pressure fluid flow from the pressure fluid space locating behind the percussion piston in front of the control valve, whereby the produced pressure displaces the control valve to another position.
Abstract: A method for calibrating sensors in a drilling apparatus provided with a movable carrier, a frame, a boom assembly mounted to rotate about a turning axis vertical to the frame, and an angle sensor for measuring the turning angle of the boom assembly and gravity-based inclination sensors for measuring inclination. When the boom assembly is turned in relation to the frame, the value of the turning angle and the inclination values provided by the inclination sensors are measured, and on the basis of the measured values, deviation of the values of the inclination sensors from the real inclination angle value are determined.
Abstract: The present method relates to a method of determining a route for automatically controlling a mobile mining machine. The route is determined computer-aidedly by executing, by a data processing machine configured for generating routes, the following steps of: retrieving an environment model comprising wall location data, receiving from a user at least an input for determining a starting point of the route and an input for determining an end point of the route, determining the route between the starting point and the end point on the basis of the environment model and data concerning properties of the mining machine, wherein the route is determined as route points at least for which position data are calculated, and storing the data determining the route to be used for automatically guiding the mining machine.
Abstract: A rock drilling machine equipped with an axial bearing having at least one axial piston for setting the axial position of a drill shank and for damping stress pulses returning from the rock. The axial bearing includes a module that is detachable in one piece from one installation direction. The axial bearing module includes all necessary seals, bearing surfaces, and a module frame. Supporting forces caused by the operation of the axial bearing are transmitted of support members in the module frame directly to the body of the rock drilling machine, which is a uniform piece at least at the axial bearing.

Abstract: A method for preparing a charging plan for rock cavern excavation, in which plan drill hole locations for a round to be drilled in a tunnel face are determined in a predetermined coordinate system by using a drilling plan created by means of a computer-assisted design program. The method determines pull-out of a round on the basis of the locations of the hole ends and the topography of the rock remaining after a round blast, and designs or modifies a charging plan for a subsequent round on the basis of the thus determined pull-out.

Abstract: A method and measuring device for determining the usage rate of a breaking hammer, and to a rock breaking device. The measuring device comprises a sensor for measuring a physical phenomenon caused by the operation of the percussion device. The measuring results are processed, and they are used to determine the start and end times of the operation of the percussion device. By means of a timing device, it is possible to determine the duration of an impact cycle which is added to a time counter. The durations of impact cycles added cumulatively to the time counter indicate the total percussion time of the breaking hammer. Impact pauses between impact cycles are also monitored, and pauses shorter than a predefined time limit are taken into account as part of the usage rate.
