Abstract: An apparatus and method for planning a drilling sequence. The solution relates also to a rock drilling rig and to a computer program product. The apparatus searches several possible drilling scenarios for drilling a given drilling pattern. Different actions required by the scenarios have given costs and the executed algorithm calculates total costs of found scenarios. Scenarios with the lowest costs are selected.
Abstract: Screening media for screening material includes a main body and a plurality of openings extending through the main body between a contact face and back face. The openings are of a shape of a convex and non-regular polygon, and are arranged in an orientation such that a line through the most proximal vertex of the polygon and parallel to a defined material flow direction divides the most proximal interior angle of the polygon. Such a configuration allows the openings to not easily get pegged and to improve screening performance.
Abstract: A tool body includes a damping apparatus for damping vibrations in a machining tool having, besides the tool body, a member with at least one cutting edge to be secured to the tool body. The damping apparatus is arranged in an internal room of the tool body and includes a damper mass body with an axial bore and a central tube extending through the bore and which is rigidly secured to the damper mass body inside the through bore. A central tube is also at both ends thereof rigidly connected to a tool body fixed part and the central tube is made of a material with a spring property allowing the damper mass body to oscillate in the internal room perpendicularly to the longitudinal extension of the central tube.
Abstract: A bore cutting tool for cutting metal workpieces includes a tool substrate and a tool coating on a surface of the tool substrate. The bore cutting tool includes a plurality of pits in the surface of the tool substrate and wherein the tool coating extends over the pits such that the pit surface includes the tool coating. In this way, the pit dimensions can be retained over prolonged tool life and the pits, with their coated surface, are particularly effective at retaining lubricant so that the thickness of a lubricant film can be increased as compared to a tool without the coated pits. In the embodiments, the pits are formed by laser etching and are present only on the cylindrical land. Average pit depth is suitably in the range 8 ?m to 25 ?m, average pit width and pit length is independently selected from 40 ?m to 250 ?m and average pit density may be 20 to 30 pits/mm2.
Abstract: A screening assembly for screening material includes an assembly frame, a multi-deck screening device, a transfer conveyor and a drive means. The drive means is operable to shift at least one of the discharge ends of the screening device and the receiving end of the conveyor relative to the assembly frame to allow the transfer conveyor to selectively receive material from an upper screen and from both screens of the screening device at their respective discharge ends. A mobile material processing plant incorporating the screening assembly is included.
Abstract: A cutting tool having an elongate cutting head provided with a plurality of teeth and flutes in which a plurality of cooling grooves are recessed at a land region of each tooth between a cutting edge and a trailing edge. The grooves at the land do not extend to and are physically separated from the cutting edge to provide a tool optimized for cutting via radially consistent cutting edges and the promotion of heat exchange and dissipation from the rearward side/region of the teeth.
Abstract: A high temperature iron-chromium-aluminium (FeCrAl) alloy tube extending along a longitudinal axis, wherein the tube is formed from a continuous strip of a high temperature FeCrAl alloy and comprises a helical welded seam. The high temperature FeCrAl alloy tube is manufactured by feeding a continuous strip of the high temperature FeCrAl alloy toward a tube shaping station, helically winding the strip such that long edges of the strip abut each other and a rotating tube moving forward in a direction parallel to its longitudinal axis is formed, and continuously joining said abutting long edges together in a welding process directly when the tube is formed, whereby a welded tube comprising a helical welded seam is obtained.
Abstract: A tool bushing of a breaking hammer, a tool bushing arrangement, a breaking hammer and a method of mounting a tool bushing of a breaking hammer are disclosed. The tool bushing is a sleeve-like piece having a multi-shouldered outer surface with three or more successive cylindrical portions. The cylindrical portions have different diameters that match with corresponding surfaces of a bushing housing when the tool bushing is mounted. Diameters of the bushing and the bushing housing are dimensioned so that friction forces are generated when the bushing is assembled.
Abstract: A method for hole cutting in a workpiece made of CFRP with a cutting tool including at least one cutting edge is provided. Further, a hole cutting assisting apparatus and an apparatus for hole cutting includes a cutting tool, a drive for rotating the cutting tool, and a heating element configured for heating at least a portion of the cutting edge of the cutting tool.
Abstract: A coated cutting tool includes a substrate and a coating, wherein the coating has a PVD layer being a compound of the formula Ti1-xSixCaNbOc, wherein 0.10<x?0.30, 0?a?0.75, 0.25?b?1, 0?c?0.2, and a+b+c=1. The PVD layer is a NaCl structure solid solution. The disclosure further relates to a method for producing the PVD layer by cathodic arc evaporation using a pulsed bias voltage of from about ?40 to about ?450 V to the substrate and using a duty cycle of less than about 12% and a pulsed bias frequency of less than about 10 kHz.
Abstract: A rock bolt arranged for installation within a bore formed in rock strata includes an elongate shaft with the leading end for installation into the bore and a trailing end projecting from an open end of the bore. A locking nut is threadably attached to the trailing end and is arranged to display product information and the like at a display face. The display face is recessed axially into the nut to provide protection against damage to the display face that may otherwise render the information unreadable.

Abstract: Herein a tubular element (2) is disclosed. The tubular element comprises a first tubular portion (4) comprising a first metal or alloy and a second tubular portion (6) comprising a second metal or alloy. At least a portion of an interface (9) between the first and second tubular portions (4, 6) extends within a fixed diameter range along a longitudinal direction (L) of the tubular element. The second tubular portion (6) comprises a first end portion (8) arranged around the first tubular portion (4). The second tubular portion (6) comprises a sealing surface (10) extending circumferentially around the second tubular portion (6) at the first end portion (8).
Abstract: Screening media to screen oversized material includes a main body and a plurality of openings extending through the main body between an upward facing contact face and a downward facing bottom face. A textured pattern is provided at the contact face to provide a roughened surface for the partial entrapment of material fines. Such a configuration protects the screen media from aggressive contact with the material to be screened and provides a bedding layer that is maintained by material-on-material attrition during bulk material flow over the media.
