  • Publication number: 20090090525
Abstract: A hydraulic rock breaking device, a protection valve and a method of operating a hydraulic rock breaking device. The rock breaking device comprises a percussion device to which pressure fluid is fed along an inlet channel. The inlet channel is provided with a protection valve arranged to monitor the volume flow of pressure fluid flowing through it. If the flow is larger than what has been preset, the protection valve closes, at least partly, the connection through it, protecting thus the percussion device against too high an input power. The protection valve comprises a throttle which generates a pressure difference the magnitude of which is dependent on the fed volume flow. Information on the pressure difference is utilized in controlling the protection valve.

Abstract: A cutting tool including a basic body having a geometrical center axis, a loose top having a rear male element, and a drawbar having a front part in which a coupling means is included, which by engagement in a coupling means of the male element of the loose top can transfer axial forces. The coupling means form an interface between the loose top and the drawbar. Each coupling means includes two axially separated ridges, a front ridge in the male element is between a front groove and a rear groove, the front groove being shallower than the rear groove such that the bottom thereof is situated at a greater radial distance from the center axis than the bottom of the rear groove.

  • Patent number: 7510354
Abstract: The invention relates to a cutting tool including a basic body and a cutting insert detachably connected to the basic body via an interface, which includes a pair of co-operating connecting surfaces in which engagement means are included, which may be in the form of knobs and seatings. A knob and a co-operating seating have a rotationally symmetrical, conical shape to prevent translation of the cutting insert in the plane of the interface. Another knob ensures that the cutting insert cannot be rotated in relation to the conical knob. Simultaneously, ample bearing surfaces abut against co-operating support surfaces in a connecting surface. In such a way, the cutting insert is fixed in a stable, non-overdetermined position in the basic body. Furthermore, the invention relates to a cutting insert as such.
