Abstract: Dry erase ink formulations containing a resin, a pre-assembled colorant, and a solvent, wherein the dry erase ink formulation has a surface tension of at least 25 dynes per centimeter, and writing instruments including a dry erase ink formulation are provided herein.

Abstract: Convertible writing instrument assemblies are provided, including an outer barrel having a tapered nosecone with an aperture for a writing instrument tip and a grip portion, and an aperture for receiving an eraser or a push button therethrough, wherein the writing instrument assembly provides selective access to a volume defined by the outer barrel, and wherein the outer barrel and the volume are collectively configured to operably and interchangeably receive a mechanical pencil insert having the eraser and a retractable pen insert having the push button. Mechanical pencils and pens utilizing the convertible writing instrument assemblies are also provided, along with kits for providing such mechanical pencils and pens.

Abstract: Embodiments include container assemblies for presentation of contents. In one example, a container assembly for writing instruments may include a slideable platform with a threaded hole configured to operably receive a threaded post therethrough, a housing having at least one guide rail, a manually rotatable base configured to rotate, such that rotation of the manually rotatable base moves the slideable platform within the housing along the at least one guide rail, and at least one platform stopper configured to prevent the slideable platform from advancing past the pre-determined height, wherein the pre-determined height is selected such that the writing instruments are retained by the housing in the container assembly when the slideable platform is in contact with the at least one platform stopper.

Abstract: A print consumable may include a rotatable core, a roll of dispensable print substrate, and a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag. The roll of the dispensable print substrate may be dispensably secured to the core. The RFID tag may be secured to the core and configured to rotate about a core axis. The RFID tag includes an RFID antenna coupled to an RFID chip. The RFID chip may include a print counter, a stock-keeping unit (SKU) code, and a consumable authentication code. A print system may include a housing, a holder to hold the print consumable, a print head, a transceiver, a trace antenna for reading an RFID tag of the print consumable, and a controller. The controller may be configured to receive a signal from the transceiver indicative of one or more of the print counter, the SKU code, and the consumable authentication code received from the RFID antenna.

The body, the nosecone, and the adaptor each have a first end and a second end. The first end of the adaptor is configured to slidably couple to the nosecone second end. The second end of the adaptor is coupled to the first end of the body. The writing instrument includes a writing element with a mounting end and a writing end where the mounting end is removably coupled to the second end of the body. The writing instrument includes a locking mechanism configured to selectively lock the nosecone in a storage position or a writing position. In the storage position, the nosecone extends and covers the writing end. In the writing position, the nosecone retracts and the writing end of the writing element extends beyond the nosecone.

The body, nosecone, and adapter each include a generally hollow tubular shape and an inner surface, outer surface, first end, and second end. The first end of the adapter is coupled to the second end of the nosecone. The second end of the adapter is configured to slidably couple to the first end of the body. The writing instrument includes a writing element with a mounting end and a writing end. The mounting end of the writing element is removably coupled to a second end of the body. The adapter includes a track and the track includes a recessed channel in the outer surface of the adapter. The body includes at least one protrusion that extends inwards from the inner surface of the body. The protrusion slidably engages with the track of the adapter.

Abstract: Cassettes and associated label printers are provided. A cassette includes a plurality of surfaces, with a base surface, a top surface, and at least one side surface extending between the base surface and the top surface, wherein the plurality of surfaces at least partially define a volume for dispensably containing a supply of label material, an outlet that provides a path to dispense the supply of label material from the volume, and a locking portion for engaging a complementary locking element of a label printer. The cassettes also include one or more conductive areas or bars associated with the surface(s) of the cassette, which are configured to engaged a corresponding conductive area of the label printer.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure can include writing instruments, nibs for writing instruments, and methods of making the same. In one embodiment, the writing instrument includes a reservoir; an ink solution comprising a pigment, the ink solution being housed within the reservoir; a nib disposed at an end of the reservoir and plugging an opening of the reservoir such that the reservoir is closed, wherein a tip of the nib extends outside of the reservoir; and a filament extending within the reservoir, the filament being in fluid communication with a portion of the nib within the reservoir, such that the ink solution travels along the filament and through the nib, by capillary action, wherein the nib and filament are formed such that no more than 50 percent of the pigment present in the nib and filament flow into the reservoir outside of the nib and filament when the writing instrument is stored with the nib up for a period of one day.

Abstract: Glue bottle anti-clog caps are provided. The anti-clog cap has a body with a mounting section for attaching the body to a glue bottle. The body of the anti-clog cap has a dispensing section that includes a central lumen extending from the second mounting end. The body of the anti-clog cap also has a tip section with a support rib protruding from an outlet of the dispensing section. The tip has a tip plug protruding from the support rib. The anti-clog cap has a nozzle that mates to the body and a tip orifice aligned with the tip plug of the body. The tip section is configured to allow the free flow of glue through the cap. The nozzle can rotate between an open and closed position. In the closed position the tip plug can extend into the tip orifice thereby preventing the flow of glue.
