Abstract: A catheter formed of a double lumen tubing having at one end thereof a distal tip and at least one opening extending from the interior of one lumen of the double lumen tubing to the exterior thereof and a plurality of second openings located a predetermined distance from at least one opening toward said other end thereof and extending from the interior of the other lumen of the double lumen tubing to the exterior thereof, a bifurcated connector located at said other end of the double lumen tubing, a first elongated tubing member operatively coupled to said bifurcated connector and communicating with said one lumen and a second elongated tubing member operatively coupled to said bifurcated connector which communicates with said other lumen and a balloon surrounding said one end of said double lumen tubing and enclosing said first openings with a removable elongated stylet located in the second passsageway and other lumen, is shown.

Abstract: An ileostomy valve comprising an attachment plate having a central opening passing therethrough which communicates with a support housing is shown. The support housing has an elongated central member which defines a passageway which communicates with the opening in the attachment plate and which terminates at the remote end of the elongated second member. A cover plate has a central drainage opening extending therethrough. The cover plate is positioned contiguous the attachment plate positioning the coacting member to engage and coact with the attachment plate. An elongated flexible tubing member extends through the central drainage opening in the covering plate, through the opening in the attachment plate, through the passageway in the elongated central member to the second opening in the elongated central member.

Abstract: An ileostomy appliance including a support housing having an attachment plate and elongated central member extending substantially perpendicular therefrom wherein the support housing has an aperture extending through the attachment plate and axially through the elongated central member forming a passageway therethrough with a preshaped collapsible member having a fluid-tight outer surface and an interior cavity which may be filled with a resilient foam material, being positioned around and in fluid-tight sealing engagement with the exterior surface of the elogated central member and with the preshaped collapsible member spaced a predetermined distance from the attachment plate and wherein the end of the preshaped collapsible member which is adjacent the opening of the elongated central member is attached to the opening in the preshaped collapsible member to provide an unobstructed opening of the elongated central member through the preshaped collapsible member and including means for withdrawing fluid from th
