  • Patent number: 9334122
Abstract: A conveyor belt comprises woven fabric having a mesh structure which imparts the belt with air permeability permitting suction of air therethrough. In one embodiment, the woven fabric is such that a portion made in plain weave in a low-density weave pattern of prescribed width in which at least one warp yarn and at least one weft yarn are woven together alternates with a portion made in satin weave in a high-density weave pattern of prescribed width in which five to twelve warp yarns and the same at least one warp yarn as in the low-density weave pattern are woven together. This alternation of low-density weave pattern(s) and high-density weave pattern(s) may create stripe(s) disposed in the conveying direction of the belt. Portion(s) made in satin weave may be disposed at one or both side end(s) of the belt.

Abstract: A high-quality end seal member which is easy to manufacture, and which exhibits excellent sealing properties with respect to inhibiting the leakage of toner in a toner-handling device of an image-forming device. End seal member for inhibiting, at a desired acceleration, leakage of toner from end of rotating body using anti-leakage gap obtained by causing recessed region to be deformed toward rotating body is provided with sealing member having striped pattern comprising plurality of steps of linear configuration which come in contact with toner carrier, i.e. rotating body, of image-forming device. When toner conveyed by toner carrier comes in contact with radiused region at edge of projecting region of irregular surface of sealing member toner scraping angle is greater than toner angle of repose. Elastic body at back surface of sealing member is used to achieve reactive-force-providing elasticity for contact load between sealing member and rotating body.

  • Publication number: 20150337966
Abstract: A rotational shaft seal member which does not cause leakage of powder and which has a slit capable of being enlarged as a result of occurrence of springback. Cylindrical shaft seal member 4b at powder container 1 includes pile 5 including woven/knit pile fabric 7 having cut pile 7b at the inside of cylindrical shaft seal member 4b and pile cylindrical support member 4c; the outside diameter 4e being capable of shrinkage as a result of external pressure, and being capable of enlargement as a result of pressure on the inside diameter 4d. When cylindrical shaft seal member 4b is inserted in attachment hole 2a of support frame 2 at the rotating body, attachment is achieved because slit 8 causes shrinkage of outside diameter 4e of cylindrical shaft seal member 4b, enlargement due to springback of slit 8 causing intimate contact with attachment hole 2a.

  • Patent number: 8783448
Abstract: A conveyor belt comprising knit fabric of high practicality, and an apparatus which uses such a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt includes weft knit fabric. Suction of air from below belt(s) is used to convey sheet-like and/or small thing(s) which are object(s) to be conveyed that are placed. The strength of filament(s) of knit fabric at side end(s) is adequately maintained. Loops exhibit mutual intertwining of filament(s) Pitch Ps of loops in width direction is formed so as to be smaller than pitch Pg of loops in conveying direction. Adjacent loops are mutually flattened and filament(s) of loop(s) are entangled, mutual intertwining of filament(s) causes knit fabric to have suppressed percentage elongation and increased strength in conveying direction, fraying of filament(s) at side end(s) of belt(s) is prevented, and strength is adequately increased.

  • Patent number: 8699910
Abstract: A seal member is described that is configured to prevent leakage of micro-powder from a rotating body such as a developing roller. The seal member of the rotating body of an image forming device using toner of the micro-powder includes base fabric consisting of knitting or fabric, loop-shaped pile yarn or cut-shaped pile yarn, which is supported on a surface of the base fabric by the entanglement or support of ground yarn of the base fabric, and a coating layer which has penetrated from a back surface of the base fabric to which a coating agent is applied to the side of pile yarn. A height of the coating agent which has penetrated from the back surface of the base fabric is the same as or less than a thickness of the base fabric which is configured by the height of the ground yarn which supports the pile yarn.

  • Patent number: 6907207
Abstract: A rotary body sealing material device. The device prevents leakage of powder, by effectively sealing en end of a rotary body with a simple structure. An end seal which prevents toner leakage by contacting an outer circumference of a developing roller, has a contact portion made of a sealing material of yarns including porous hollow fibers. The seal, made of hollow fiber, exhibits reduced repulsive elasticity during compression, and high hermeticity is attained in the yarns by applying only a relatively light load to such an extent that deformation is not formed in a pressure-applying supporting plate and the to-be-pressed developing roller, thereby maintaining seal integrity.
