Publication number: 20130273404Abstract: A battery pack includes rectangular battery cells and a separator unit. The rectangular battery cells have a rectangular box exterior shape, the thickness of which is smaller than the width. The separator unit prevents the main surfaces of the battery cells from contacting each other, and electrically insulates the battery cells from each other. The battery cells are arranged side by side in the thickness direction as a battery assembly with the main surfaces facing each other. The separator unit includes a first subseparator. The first subseparator includes spacer plates and a support portion. The spacer plates have a size substantially equal to the main surface. The support portion supports the spacer plates with gaps being formed between the spacer plates in the width direction. The gap between the spacer plates is dimensioned so that the battery cell can be inserted into the gap.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2011Publication date: October 17, 2013Applicant: Sanyo Electric., LtdInventors: Shingo Ochi, Atsushi Fujita

Publication number: 20020196690Abstract: A switching transistor to connect a pair of bit lines in a sub array to a pair of common bit lines in a sense amplifier band is arranged between a P channel sense amplifier and an N channel sense amplifier. Accordingly, the switching transistor can be used of a threshold value identical to that of the NMOSFET used in a logic circuit region, not a low threshold value. Therefore, the switching transistor can be reliably turned on/off in a narrow operating range. Accordingly, the complexity or capability of the drive circuit can be suppressed to a low level. As a result, the area for the semiconductor memory device can be reduced.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2002Publication date: December 26, 2002Applicant: SANYO ELECTRIC., LTD.Inventor: Shoichiro Matsumoto

Patent number: 6188790Abstract: An apparatus for recognizing characters read by a reading unit. A circumscribing rectangle of a read character is formed, and the degree of narrowness of that circumscribing rectangle is acquired. Characters having a degree of narrowness that is equal to or greater than a predetermined value are selected and blank areas are added to the circumscribing rectangle to yield a character area with a corrected degree of narrowness. The character is normalized by converting the character area to a specified size, and is recognized based on the normalized character. It is therefore possible to normalize even characters significantly elongated vertically or horizontally for easier recognition and to group their character patterns.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 1997Date of Patent: February 13, 2001Assignee: Tottori Sanyo Electric Ltd.Inventors: Takatoshi Yoshikawa, Hiromitsu Kawajiri, Hiroshi Horii, Junji Tanaka

Patent number: 5968678Abstract: In magneto-optical recording medium, on a transparent substrate of polycarbonate resin, an SiN film having the thickness of 600 to 800 .ANG. and surface roughness Rmax of at most 10 nm is formed. On the SiN film, a GdFeCo reading layer having the thickness of 800 to 1200 .ANG. with Gd content of 30 to 36 at. % and Co content of 12 to 50 at. % is formed. On the reading layer, a TbFeCo recording layer of which Co content is 10 to 16 at. % is formed. The recording layer is a perpendicular magnetization film, and the reading layer is an in-plane magnetization film. At the time of reading, the reading and recording layers are heated, and the direction of magnetization of the recording layer is transferred to the reading layer only in the prescribed heated area. Information can be read only from the transferred portion, and thus a super resolution effect is obtained.
