Abstract: A radio apparatus includes an antenna (104), and a transmission circuit (102) and a receiving circuit (105) sharing the antenna. The apparatus connects an output of the transmission circuit to an input of the receiving circuit in calibration for calculating the quantity of phase rotation and/or the quantity of amplitude fluctuation of a signal passing through the transmission and receiving circuits. Then, it connects a reference signal to the input of the receiving circuit for calculating the quantity of phase rotation and/or the quantity of amplitude fluctuation of a signal passing through the receiving circuit. Based on the subtraction of the information, the quantity of phase rotation and/or the quantity of amplitude fluctuation of a signal passing through the transmission circuit is calculated. It calculates a correction value for correcting difference in quantity of phase rotation and/or quantity of amplitude fluctuation between the transmission and receiving circuits on the basis of the information.

  • Patent number: 7034376
Abstract: A Schottky barrier diode in which a p+-type semiconductor layer is provided in an n?-type epitaxial layer can realize lowering the forward voltage VF without considering leak current IR. However, when compared with a normal Schottky barrier diode, the forward voltage VF is generally high. When a Schottky metal layer is suitably selected, although the forward voltage VF can be reduced, there is a limit in further reduction. On the other hand, when the resistivity of the n?-type semiconductor layer is reduced, although the forward voltage VF can be realized, there is a problem that breakdown voltage is deteriorated. In a semiconductor device of the invention, a second n?-type semiconductor layer having a low resistivity is laminated on a first n?-type semiconductor layer capable of securing a specified breakdown voltage. P+-type semiconductor regions are made to have depths equal to or slightly deeper than the second n?-type semiconductor layer.

  • Patent number: 7035483
Abstract: An image search apparatus includes a hard disk. A plurality of images photographed by a surveillance camera are recorded on the hard disk with luminance information. When an arbitrary image is selected as a reference image from among the plurality of images recorded on the hard disk, and an arbitrary area of the reference image is designated as a search area, a CPU calculates a difference value of the luminance information of the search area between the reference image and each of other images. Furthermore, the CPU specifies an image in which the calculated difference value exceeds a threshold value from among the other images, and the specified image is displayed on the display.

  • Publication number: 20060082671
Abstract: In a CCD driving circuit, it is difficult to reduce the consumption power while maintaining the charge transfer performance. In this connection, when BUFk switches an output ?ka to a clock signal line, firstly, a clock signal line 10?k is set to a floating state, charge/discharge between the clock signal line 10?k and a capacitor C is carried out. For instance, electric charges of a clock signal line 10?1 of which ?1 is Vp are partially charged to the capacitor C. Before Vp is applied to the clock signal line 10?2 from BUF2, a potential ?2 is raised to a potential between Vp and 0 when the capacitor C charges the clock signal line 10?2. When the BUF2 supplies a current corresponding to a portion of a remaining voltage to the clock signal line 10?2, ?2 can be raised to Vp.

  • Publication number: 20060082527
Abstract: The invention is directed to a display device that can display a grayscale image by a digital drive method, without a frame memory and heat generation of the display device caused by a drive current. Without dividing one field period into a scan period and a light emission period as in an organic EL display device using a conventional digital drive method, image data from a data line are written in pixels in each of lines, and ramp voltages generated for each of the lines and image data voltages are compared with each other, and light emission display is performed based on the comparison result. This can provide a display device that can display a grayscale image by a digital drive method without the frame memory. Furthermore, an electric current to be supplied to the organic EL elements is reduced, so that the heat generation of the display device can be prevented to enhance reliability.

  • Patent number: 7031413
Abstract: BB input units input baseband received signals. An initial weight data setting unit sets weighting coefficients to be utilized in the interval of a training signal as initial weighting coefficients. A gap compensating unit compensates control weighting coefficients with a gap error signal and outputs the updated weighting coefficients acquired as a result of the compensation. A weight switching unit selects the initial weighting coefficients in the interval of the training signal and selects the updated weighting coefficients in the interval of the data signal. Then the weight switching unit outputs the selected initial weighting coefficients and updated weighting coefficients as the weighting coefficients. A synthesizing unit weights the baseband received signals with the weighting coefficients and then sums them up.

  • Patent number: 7030923
Abstract: A digital camera includes a shutter button. When taking a still picture of a subject in response to operation of the shutter button, a TG carries out first exposure and second exposure. The first exposure and the second exposure are simultaneously started by the suspension of outputting a charge sweep-out pulse. Elapsing a first exposure period, the TG reads a first charge out of a part of the light-receiving elements, thereby ending the first exposure. Elapsing a second exposure period, a mechanical shutter is closed thereby ending the second exposure. A second charge produced due to the second exposure is read out after completing the transfer of the first charge. The first and second charges outputted from the CCD imager are combined together by an image combining circuit.

  • Patent number: 7031743
Abstract: The present invention provides a foldable portable communication terminal device including a main body case and a lid case openably connected. The main body case has a side portion provided with an up key and a down key. The portable communication terminal device has a secondary battery, power supplying switch, and a control circuit incorporated therein.
