Abstract: A lead-attached electrical element and a mounting board to which the lead-attached electrical element is mounted both contribute to a reduction in the size of the mounting board as well as facilitate rework. The lead-attached electrical element is constituted from an electrical element and two leads. Each lead includes a main portion which is bonded to a respective electrode face of the electrical element, and a bent portion which is inclined with respect to the main portion. The mounting board is constituted from a PC (printed circuit) board and the lead-attached electrical element. Two conductive lands are provided on a surface of the PC board. The lead-attached electrical element has been inserted into an aperture in the PC board, and bent portions of the leads attached to the electrical element are bonded to the conductive lands so that the electrical element is suspended in the aperture by the leads.

Abstract: A positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. The positive electrode active material has been manufactured through a mixing step and a heating step. In the mixing step, a mixture is produced by mixing niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5) with lithium hydroxide (LiOH) at a molar ratio of 1:1. In the heating step, the mixture is heated in an atmosphere of air at substantially 800° C. The positive electrode active material having been produced through the mixing process and the heating process causes the plateau potential in a discharge to be approximately 1.0 [V] for lithium. And the nonaqueous electrolyte battery using the positive electrode active material can operate at a voltage of approximately 1.0 [V].

Abstract: A battery 10A with leads has a low-profile external casing acting 11 as one of a pair of electrode terminals and a closure plate 12 acting as the other of the electrode terminals. The closure plate 12 hermetically seals an opening of the external casing 11 via an insulating gasket. A pair of lead plates 13 and 14 are each welded to a different one of the electrode terminals 11 and 12. One of the lead plates 13 and 14 is secured to a circuit board X. The lead plate 14 that is secured to the circuit board has a net-like structure.

Abstract: A lead plate-attached coin-type battery is constituted from a combination of a coin-type battery and a positive lead plate. In the coin-type battery, a negative cap seals the aperture of a positive outer can. In a lateral view, the positive lead plate is crank-shaped, and one end thereof is attached to the outer surface of the positive outer can of the coin-type battery. A lead plate is not attached to the negative cap. One or more projections that project in the Z axis direction are provided on the negative cap. In the lead plate-attached coin-type battery, the positive lead plate and negative cap have been attached to respective conductive lands on a circuit board by a solder reflow method.
