  • Patent number: 8646159
Abstract: A large-diameter-side end surface (104a) of a cotter (104) can be supported by a cotter holder (32) from below through inserting a shaft member (102) along an inner periphery of the cotter (104) from above the cotter (104). In this state, a protrusion (104b) of the cotter (104) and an annular groove (102a) of the shaft member (102) are fitted to each other, and the cotter (104) and a retainer (103) are taper-fitted to each other. • Patent number: 6432229
Abstract: Temperature in the vicinity of a heated point on a work (1) surface on a moving locus of flame poured from a torch (3) is measured, the measured value is inputted into a controlling unit (8). It is converted into a physical quantity which appeals to the perception of a worker, such as light, sound, or vibration, and outputted to warning means (5, 9, and 10). The measured value is compared with a predetermined standard temperature range, and as the measured value approaches the upper limit or the lower limit of the standard temperature range, the physical quantity produced as warning signal is stepwise changed. This permits the worker to perceive the change in the measured value, and to easily change the position of the torch or the moving speed thereof so that the temperature at the heated point is maintained within the standard temperature range.

  • Patent number: 5578155
Abstract: A first plastic film 90 is prepared which is cut into an effective area V1 constituting a three-dimensional object and a non-required area U1 not constituting the three-dimensional object, and a second plastic film 94 is fed above the first plastic film 90. Meanwhile, a photo-setting adhesive 96 is applied on a lower surface of the second plastic film 94, and a portion 96a corresponding to a sum of the non-required area U1 of the first plastic film and a non-required area U2 of the second plastic film is solidified whereas a residual portion 96b remains non-solid. The non-solid portion 96b is irradiated with a light beam and solidified to attach the first and the second plastic films with each other. The second plastic film 94 is then cut into an effective area V2 and the non-required area U2. The three-dimensional object is formed by successively laminating plastic films through repetition of the above steps.

  • Patent number: 5548883
Abstract: An apparatus is presented for hemming at least two panels together. An inner panel, having a rounded corner, is initially positioned onto an outer panel, also having a rounded corner, the rounded corners of the panels overlapping. The rounded corner of the inner panel is also preliminarily positioned against a rounded, corner hem flange of the outer panel. The apparatus includes a creasing blade, having a concave rounded corner, which is brought toward an external surface of the hem flange. Contact occurs between the outer surface of the hem flange and the concave rounded corner of the creasing blade. The hem flange is then pressured by the rounded corner of the creasing blade, thereby preliminarily folding the outer panel hem flange over the inner panel by an acute angle. The creasing blade is withdrawn form the hem flange. The acutely angled fold of the outer panel hem flange is subsequently pressed by the flat surface of a final folding blade, until the hem flange crimps the inner panel.

  • Patent number: 5536916
Abstract: Automatic alignment correction of the setting angles of mirrors in a laser robot is achieved by mirrors 2c,2d, and 2e being linearly displaced a predetermined distance in a sequence from one closer to a laser oscillator 1 to another. At the same time, a locus of displacement of a spot S on a position sensor during movement of a particular mirror is detected by the position sensor 9 disposed in front of a laser output nozzle 4. An error in the setting angle of a mirror preceding to the particular mirror having been moved is computed on the basis of the detected value, so as to perform angular correction relative to the particular mirror by motors 11a and 11b. In one embodiment, mirror 2e is rotated about the C-axis. When the incident position of the laser beam is offset from the center of rotation of the mirror 2e, the spot S obtained in the position sensor 9 will move in a circular path.

  • Patent number: 5402364
Abstract: A three-dimensional measuring apparatus includes a minimum of a pair of CCD cameras which respectively pick up an image of an objective surface of an objective workpiece requiring dimensional measurement. At least a single unit or a pair of laser scanner sequentially irradiates a plurality of spots on the measurable surface with laser beams. After completing the preliminary folding process against the hem flange, the upper cam structure is retracted to permit the lower cam structure to be free from pressuring force transmitted in the preliminary folding direction by the movable member. In consequence, the preliminary folding blade is securely prevented from repeatedly and uselessly being operated on the way of lifting an upper mold after completion of the hemming process.
