Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods that operate to assist in resolving both expected and unexpected events that occur in the course of business operations are disclosed. Activities may include detecting the occurrence of an alert event, determining whether the alert event is an expected event or an unexpected event, presenting a resolution sequence for the expected event, and soliciting a new event resolution path for the unexpected event. Further activities may include determining an alert event is an unexpected event, displaying an alert message associated with the unexpected event, and soliciting recommendations to form a new event resolution path to be presented upon determining a new event has occurred that is similar to the alert event. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: A method, of composing a software application having a user interface, includes receiving input relating to a plurality of tasks and defining a task model of a process, the plurality of tasks including at least one user task to be performed by a user of the application; automatically identifying a plurality of user interface templates by identifying at least one user interface template associated with at least a subset of the plurality of tasks; and creating a user interface model for an application using the plurality of user interface templates.

Abstract: There is provided a computer-implemented method, computer-program product, system and security index structure for a security enforcement strategy for a composite application. The method comprises providing a workflow for the composite application, wherein the composite application is constructed from a set of sub-applications and wherein at least a plurality of the sub-applications has a policy. A consolidated workflow policy is generated for the workflow by combining the policies of the sub-applications and by taking into account a control flow of the workflow, wherein the control flow provides an order in which the set of sub-applications are performed. The consolidated workflow policy is enforced by providing a security index structure for the consolidated workflow policy adapted for checking authorization in the workflow.
