Abstract: A method of creating an index page that identifies at least one of several user interface (UI) frames includes receiving, in a computer system, information that identifies a category for the index page. The index page is provided with at least one index name identifying a UI frame that is associated with the category. The computer system includes several UI frames, each of which is controlled at least in part by instruction code in a package having a package name. The package names of the several UI frames are read to identify at least one package name that matches the category. The at least one index name is displayed in the index page, the at least one index name being obtained from the at least one package name that matches the category.

Abstract: A client may receive first content data and second content data from a server over a communication channel. The first content data may be configured to cause a first window to be displayed on the client. The first window may comprise at least one user selectable element configured to prompt, when selected, the second content data to cause a second window to be displayed on the client. Furthermore, input data entered in the second window may be transmitted from the client to the server, over the same communication channel used to receive the first and second content data.

Abstract: A method of and system for defining a sales promotion including consolidating sales promotion data in a data warehouse are disclosed. The method includes receiving in a computerized system first and second sales promotion data corresponding to first and second sales promotions from the data warehouse, and grouping the first and second sales promotion data to define third promotion data corresponding to a third sales promotion. Abstract: A method of graphically representing management of goods in a supply chain includes receiving goods management data in a computer system from participants in a supply chain, the goods management data being sent upon the participants managing individual goods, and generating a graph in the computer system using the goods management data, the graph showing the management of the individual goods over time. A computer-implemented tool may generate a display area that shows the management of individual goods over time by the participants. The goods management may be graphically represented as cumulative curves. Curves may be shifted, cleansed or predicted. The tool may identify problems in the supply chain.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for real-time data transfer between sensor or actuator devices and higher-level applications. In one aspect, an integration engine receives a set of rules from an external application and receives item data including item identifiers from one or more tag readers, each item identifier being read from a digital tag bound to a physical item. The integration engine uses the rules and item data to determine in real time which subset of the item data to furnish to the external application. In another aspect, the integration engine receives from the external application configuration data for controlling an actuator device. The integration engine converts the configuration data to a format compatible with the actuator device; and furnishes the converted configuration data in real time to the actuator device.

The role generator further generates one or more role templates for the project based on a comparison of at least a portion of the generated skills list and one or more predefined roles, wherein each role template includes one or more skills associated with fulfilling a role.

Abstract: An auto-identification system is described that includes a plurality of distributed auto-id nodes that are operable to track physical objects as they move through an operation of an enterprise, such as, for example, a supply chain network or a sales network. The auto-id nodes are distributed across sites of the network, and are in communication with enterprise application systems and/or data acquisition systems such as RFID readers or sensor devices. By focusing on their respective sites, the auto-id nodes minimize the amount of data tracked by their respective enterprise applications. Further, a simulator may be associated with one or more of the auto-id nodes. In this case, the simulator may project certain movements of the physical objects through an environment of an auto-id node, and then feed corresponding data to the auto-id node. In this way, the auto-id node may be tested and optimized, without requiring actual, physical testing.

The object framework features a virtual object space providing access to multiple objects, each object having a set of functionality and being identifiable by a unique identifier provided by the virtual object space. A visualization framework visualizes objects independent of an application implementing an object. Each object is visualized using the object's unique identifier and according to the object's corresponding set of functionality.

Abstract: A feedback system for visual content is described that allows individual users to obtain feedback regarding selected visual content. The feedback system includes a content navigation enhancer that provides useful navigation and feedback features to a feedback-providing user. When the selected visual content includes a plurality of screens of visual content, the content navigation enhancer may associate an identifier with each of the screens, where each identifier provides a link to its respective screen. The content navigation enhancer may ensure that all of the identifiers are displayed on a user interface, regardless of which screen of visual content is simultaneously displayed on the user interface. Thus, the feedback-providing user has access to all of the screens, regardless of which screen is currently being displayed. Accordingly, the feedback-providing user may select a desired screen to submit corresponding feedback, and may understand a flow or order of the screens of visual content.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for managing a lock on an object dependent upon a nested LUW. The disclosed systems and methods may include registering a lock manager with an LUW manager responsible for managing a nested LUW on a buffer. The nested LUW may comprise an inner LUW and an outer LUW. The systems and method may further include locking an object affected by the inner LUW of the nested LUW. The LUW manager may transmit to the lock manager any events pertaining to the inner LUW. The lock manager may be operative to determine, based on the events pertaining to the LUW received from the LUW manager, whether the lock should be retained or released such that the status of the lock is consistent with the state of the nested LUW.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and techniques to provide for batch processing of wizards. In general, the techniques may include a computer-implemented method that comprises presenting a wizard to a user to perform a step-by-step process, with each step associated with a step type and the step type being one of confirmation, processing, optional input, or mandatory input. The process is executed as a batch process based on a user request. Then, the batch process is interrupted based on an associated step type of a current step, the interrupting comprising comparing the associated step type to a user parameter.

Abstract: A method, system and computer-readable media are provided for performing assortment definition and planning to match the right articles, with the right stores, at the right times. The method, system and computer-readable media include receiving sales information for a plurality of stores, calculating a capacity index, assigning the calculated capacity index to each of the plurality of stores, defining a criteria level for each of the plurality of stores, categorizing the plurality of stores according to both the capacity index value and the criteria level and assigning one or more stores to the assortment based on the categorizing result.

Abstract: A system and method for storing, filtering, selecting and manipulating business exceptions generated by forecasting and replenishment processes and systems. When an exception is generated, it will be associated with attributes corresponding to those business objects and business areas to which the exception relates. Exceptions may also be associated with administrative attributes such as status, priority and generation date, as well as information identifying the specific business process that generated the exception. Generated forecasting and replenishment exceptions may be directed to a transitory dialog message. Alternatively, forecasting and replenishment exceptions may be logged or stored in a database for future review and treatment. Within an exceptions monitor or workbench tool, a business replenishment specialist may browse, search, select, review, filter, rearrange, edit, forward and/or respond to generated exceptions.

Abstract: A computer based system is provided that is capable of displaying component and process structures for configurable product classes stored in a data structure. Product classes in the data structure are represented by product nodes. Components, which are abstractions of concrete items used in the product, are represented by component nodes. Component nodes are mapped to each product class with which the component is associated, and are associated with one or more component variants, which are concrete items used in the manufacture of a particular product variant. Process nodes, which are abstractions of actual steps required to produce a product variant, known as process variants, are represented by process nodes. The computer based system can display several alternative views of the data structure. For example, upon receiving a selection for a particular product class, the computer based system converts and can graphically display all component and process nodes associated with that product class.
