  • Publication number: 20080235688
Abstract: Systems and methods provide optimized distribution of jobs for execution among available workers. Categories are established for pairs of jobs based on a precise or estimated distance between each pair of jobs. Values are then assigned to the pairs of jobs and various decisions about job assignment and grouping can be made based upon the assigned value. The systems and methods allow certain job pairs to be excluded from consideration from grouping together, and emphasize which jobs are best suited for pairwise assignment, resulting in reduction of costs and necessary resources.

  • Publication number: 20070241882
Abstract: A method, system, and computer readable memory product produces a user interface for real-time management of vehicles. The user interface displays groups of vehicle and corresponding key performance indicators for each. The user interface enables fields corresponding to certain metrics to be visually distinguished in response to the metric exceeding a specified threshold value for a key performance indicator. The user interface may be refined to display various levels of greater or lesser detail, or to display the data in additional or alternative formats.

  • Publication number: 20070115101
Abstract: Methods and systems provide for controlling a vehicle in conjunction with geospatial awareness. Vehicle locations are tracked and analyzed for compliance with rule sets corresponding to maintaining minimum or maximum distances from specific geographic locations or routes. A speed control command is issued to a vehicle upon violation of a rule. Speed control commands include speed reduction commands, vehicle shutdown commands, and combinations of speed reduction and vehicle shutdown commands.

  • Patent number: 6850839
Abstract: An article tracking device that can be attached to or otherwise located with movable and non-moveable articles has a memory that stores a subset of spatial zones and corresponding time intervals during which the spatial zones are valid. The device is adapted to periodically read the current time and its current position from the position determination system and to determine whether a spatial zone corresponding to the current time exists. If a corresponding spatial zone exists, the device determines whether its current location is within the spatial zone and performs an action in response to this determination.
