  • Patent number: 4951842
Abstract: A seal device for hand pumps for dispensing a substance such as paste or liquid products from bottles containing such products, wherein upper closure element of the pump is formed of elastically deformable plastic material. In an axial hole of the closure element there is provided an annular lip defining a circular aperture of diameter slightly less than that of a corresponding part of the pump stem to ensure a seal between the stem and closure element during pump operation even when the bottle is inclined or inverted, while allowing a certain quantity of air to be drawn in to compensate the quantity of substance dispensed. The stem collar has on its upper face a coaxial annular seal rib which engages against the lower face of the closure element under the thrust action of a spring to provide a seal when the pump is not under operation.

  • Patent number: 4932569
Abstract: A device particularly for a hand pump (1) for delivering a predetermined quantity of thick or liquid substances contained in bottles or containers (2). The pump (1) includes an overall tubular hollow main body (3) for receiving the operating members of the pump (1), including an operating stem (4) which projects from the outer end (21) of the hollow main body (3) and a retention element (9, 9A) for retaining the operating stem (4) within the hollow main body (3). The retention element (9, 9A) has a hole (8) through which the operating stem (4) passes and projections or recesses (13, 14) arranged to respectively snap-engage corresponding recesses or projections (14, 13) provided in or on the hollow main body (3). A hollow tubular appendix (16) is formed integrally with the retention element (9 9A) for the operating stem (4) and extends towards the interior (11) of the hollow main body (3) of the pump (1).

  • Patent number: 4899913
Abstract: A hand pump for delivering a predetermined quantity of paste or liquid substances contained in a bottle comprises an overall tubular hollow main body for receiving the pump operating members, including the operating stem which projects from one of the two ends of the main body. For retaining the stem within the body, the pump comprises a retention element with a hole through which the stem passes. The retention element is provided with projections or recesses arranged to respectively snap-engage corresponding recesses or projections provided in or on the main body.

  • Patent number: 4826031
Abstract: A container for fluid substances for use with a manually operable small pump for dispensing such substances, comprising at least two distinct parts that can be mechanicaly and sealingly interconnected, a first part being provided with an inlet for securing a manually operable type of small pump thereon, and a second part being cup-shaped overall and having at the bottom thereof a hole of comparatively large size which can be closed by a plug, a second part of the container having integral therewith an elongate cylindrical tubular body, the lower end of which is open adjacent the bottom of said second part, and the other end of which is shaped to accomodate by sealing and simple friction the lower end of a small pump whichh is mounted to the inlet of the first part of the container when the latter is connected with the second part of said container.

  • Patent number: 4607765
Abstract: A manually operated pump for the delivery under pressure in micronized form of liquid and/or thick substances or materials stored in a container on which the pump is mounted. The pump comprises a main hollow body, a movable hollow stem supporting a micronizing cap and extending into a pressure chamber defined by the hollow body, a spring urging the stem away from said chamber against a retaining element integral with the hollow body, a one-way valve sealingly bearing on a seat on the lower end of the chamber, an annular seal movable along the stem between two positions in which it clears and respectively it closes a channel in the stem opening into the axial cavity of the same stem, said seal sealingly engaging the inner surface of the hollow body and the outer surface of the stem.

  • Patent number: 4511064
Abstract: The invention relates to a dispensing valve cap assembly for fluid materials under pressure with a warranty seal. The valve includes a body made of plastic material attachable within the inlet of a container for the material to be dispensed and the cap is passed through by a conduit opening at one end thereof into a seat for accommodating the free end of the valve stem, and at the other end thereof into an outlet nozzle for the material to be dispensed. The cap has integral therewith via breakable finger-like elements a skirt extending to the valve, and the valve body has projecting therefrom an inner cylindrical wall adjacent to the skirt and a tubular wall defining a cylindrical cavity with the valve stem and having at least one inward projecting rib.

  • Patent number: 4434916
Abstract: The invention relates to a pump applicable to containers holding a substance to be delivered or dispensed under pressure, which pump is manually operable. The pump includes a hollow stem movable within a hollow body, urged out of the latter by a spring and retained therein by a ring sealingly connectable or hookable on a ring nut which can be secured on the mouth or inlet member of a substance container. A seal of H-cross-section is mounted and movable on the stem and by its lips seals on the inner surface of the hollow body, on the outer surface of the stem, on a tubular extension projecting from the above mentioned ring, and respectively in either of two annular grooves presented by the stem or bodies associated therewith. On moving between such grooves during the movement of the stem, the seal closes or clears a channel through which the pressure substance can exit as previously sucked within the hollow body, which bears on the outward facing surface of an annular edge projecting from the ring nut.
