Abstract: A process for obtaining a wax fraction from a feed wax, the process comprising: (a) providing a molten feed wax in a container; (b) solidifying the feed wax by cooling; (c) increasing the temperature of the feed wax to a temperature at which a first fraction of the feed wax melts, said first fraction having a congealing point which is lower than the congealing point of the feed wax; (d) recovering the first fraction of the feed wax; (e) increasing the temperature of the remaining feed wax to a temperature at which a further fraction of the feed wax melts; and (f) recovering the further fraction of the feed wax. The feed wax comprises at least 75 wt.-% of linear alkanes and each recovered fraction comprises at least 19 wt.-% of the feed wax.

Abstract: The invention relates to a hydrocarbon wax composition with superior properties as ozone- and aging-protecting additive in rubber products, the production thereof and the use thereof as ozone- and aging-protecting additive. The hydrocarbon wax composition is characterized by its distribution of hydrocarbon molecules by number of carbon atoms per hydrocarbon molecule and its distribution of branched and linear hydrocarbons.
Abstract: The invention relates to O/W wax dispersions based on water, an emulsifier and a wax phase containing predominantly aliphatic hydrocarbons and polar compounds having chain lengths of at least 18 carbon atoms, and also plaster compositions comprising the O/W wax dispersion, and the use of the O/W wax dispersion.
Abstract: Microcrystalline paraffin having a consistency in a rage of paste-like to solid, prepared by catalytic hydroisomerization of FT paraffins having a carbon chain length distribution in a range of 20 to 105 at temperatures above 200° C., and being free of aromatic compounds, heterocyclic compounds, and naphthenes.

Abstract: The subject matter of the present invention is a process for grinding waxes, in particular paraffin waxes using a polyol as a grinding aid in a jet mill, in particular a fluidized bed counter-jet mill, wax powder thus produced containing the grinding aid and the use of the polyols as a grinding aid for waxes.
Abstract: A method for producing bulk good of agglomerates made of rubber particles and wax. A composition of the agglomerate and the use of the bulk good to produce asphalt or bitumen masses are created in that rubber is activated by swelling and using a swelling agent and a melt made of viscosity-reducing wax and of optional polyoctenamer is added, the activated rubber particles are agglomerated by means of the viscosity-reducing wax and optional adhesion-improving substances. The resulting larger volume leads to a viscosity reduction and the softening leads to a more intimate and more homogeneous wetting with the wax and, in the mixed good to be produced, a viscosity reduction remaining stable in the mixed good for <180 min and an increased stability of the cross-linking of the rubber molecules among each other after the agglomerates have been incorporated are achieved.
Abstract: The invention relates wax blends containing long-chain hydrocarbons and alcohols, to printing ink compositions and thermal transfer ribbons containing the wax blends, and to the use of said wax blends as additives in printing inks.

Abstract: The invention relates to a novel and completely synthetic microcrystalline paraffin, said paraffin being obtained in a simple manner and with a high yield by the catalytic hydromerisation of paraffin FT comprising 20 to 105 carbon atoms. Said paraffins can be pasty to solid at room temperature and have a higher percentage of iso-paraffins than n-paraffins. Since they do not contain aromatic compounds they are particularly suitable for use in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries.
