Patent number: 11540671Abstract: A portable hand wash station includes a base that can set upon the ground. A fresh water tank and greywater tank are disposed atop the base. A tank cover is disposed atop the tanks. The sink member is pivotally mounted to the tank cover with a hinge. The sink member defines two sink basins that oppose one another. Each sink basin can be shaped and sized to allow the user to wash their forearms. A backsplash member can be secured to the sink member between the individual sink basins. The fresh water tank access can be secured by locking the sink member to the tank cover. A plurality of rods secure the tanks in place between the base and tank cover without protruding through a sidewall of the tanks.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2021Date of Patent: January 3, 2023Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth V. Patent number: 11033649Abstract: A hybrid packet containing deodorizing chemicals can dissolve to release the chemicals in a brine solution while still being formed using high speed packet forming machinery. A hybrid packet can be formed by feeding a sheet of dissolvable paper and a film of PVA material into the packet forming machine to form a hybrid packet having one side formed of the paper and the opposing side formed of the PVA material. The PVA sheet and paper panels are fused together by the machine to form a sealed interior compartment that holds the deodorizing chemicals. A serrated knife edge can be used to pierce the paper and PVA layers to separate individual packets. Reduced water volume in the forming operation avoids compromising the dissolvable paper portion of the hybrid packet. The packet contents can include citric acid and sodium bicarbonate.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2019Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventors: Douglas E. Loebertmann, Daniel D. Phothirath, Stephen A. Heyer

Patent number: 10822823Abstract: A portable restroom includes a thermoformed plastic floor panel that includes integral perimeter side wall portions that can be fastened directly to the side panels of a portable restroom. The top edge of the floor panel side wall portions extends outwardly to fit into a corresponding groove molded into the side panels of the restroom, in a tongue and groove fashion. This tongue and groove arrangement can be angled slightly upward so that the weight of the side panels helps to lock the two parts together. Fasteners further secure the floor panel to the side panels and are located around the perimeter of the floor just below the tongue and groove feature. The floor and side panels can be made of polyethylene plastic, formed by the thermoforming process. The vertical side walls of the molded floor can incorporate gusset features to add structure and rigidity to the floor panel.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2018Date of Patent: November 3, 2020Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth Schomburg, Everett Spandl

Patent number: 10066379Abstract: A portable restroom includes an automatic continuous flushing feature and a touchless flush request sensor. An automatic light provides welcome lighting in darker locations. An electric fan increases ventilation and reduces odor and temperature in the restroom. Sensors monitor various levels and usage of consumables. A processor monitors the sensed data and wirelessly alerts a service provider when the restroom needs service. A flushing bowl is placed in the commode opening to hide the waste within the tank. The flushing bowl includes a relatively small opening in a forward portion of the inner bowl surface for waste to pass through. A spray nozzle for directing water over the interior of the bowl is provided to minimize the chance that waste sticks to the inner bowl.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2016Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth V. Patent number: 6327719Abstract: In order to provide additional flexibility in a portable restroom, a base assembly is specifically designed to include an internal tank capable of maintaining and carrying flushing fluid. Thus, when a flushing restroom is desired, an additional tank is not needed. In order to convert to a flushing model, the base assembly is simply filled with appropriate liquid, and a pump is added. In addition to providing additional capabilities, the additional fluid in the base unit provides for more weight, thus increasing the stability. Also, the base assembly has a support structure which can be snap fit to the tank member. By allowing the snap fitting feature, the support structure can be designed very rugged, however will very easily and completely attach to the tank member.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2000Date of Patent: December 11, 2001Assignee: Satellite Industries, Inc.Inventors: Douglas E.
