  • Patent number: 8328693
Abstract: To increase effects of KAATSU training and improve safety thereof. A training system includes a tight fitting device 100 having an inflatable tube which is intended to be wrapped around a compression target range of an arm or a leg, a pressure regulating segment 200 that controls an applied pressure applied by the tight fitting device 100 to the compression target range by means of supplying air into the inflatable tube of the tight fitting device 100 or removing the air from the inflatable tube, a measuring segment 300, and a control segment 400. The measuring segment 300 measures a measurement target value which is one of a heart beat rate, a pulse wave value, and an oxygen saturation value, of a user who is receiving KAATSU training. When the measurement target value measured by the measuring segment 300 indicates that the KAATSU training should not be continued, then the control segment 400 notifies it to the pressure regulating segment 200 and terminates the KAATSU training.

Abstract: To improve the effect and the safety of Kaatsu training. A training system includes a tight fitting device which is intended to be placed around a compressed range of an arm or a leg and which has a pneumatic bag, and a training device adapted to control the compression pressure that is applied to a compressed range by the tight fitting device by means of supplying air to the pneumatic bag of the tight fitting device or removing the air from the pneumatic bag. The training device supplies the air to the pneumatic bag and removes the air from the pneumatic bag in such a manner that the compression pressure that is applied by the tight fitting device to the compressed range oscillates between an upper peak and a lower peak within a range lower than an appropriate pressure.

  • Publication number: 20110160022
Abstract: To ensure easy and secure placement of a belt for KAATSU muscle training on a target compressed site near the proximal portion of a limb. A belt 100B has a longer first band-shaped member 110 and a shorter second band-shaped member 120 both of which have a band shape and are connected to a ring-shaped joint member 130 at their respective ends. In order to place the belt 100B on the target compressed site, the limb (right leg in this case) on which the belt 100B is expected to be placed is inserted into a loop of the first band-shaped member 110 formed by passing the end of the first band-shaped member 110 through an opening in the joint member 130, and the belt is moved up to the target compressed site. Then, the first band-shaped member 110 and the second band-shaped member 120 are pulled with both hands in the opposite directions. The belt 100B is placed on the target compressed site with the belt 100B being tensioned appropriately.

  • Publication number: 20110092865
Abstract: To provide a belt for KAATSU muscle training of the type activated by using air pressure in which an inflatable pneumatic bag will expand only in an inward direction during use. A belt 100B has a first band-shaped member 110 that is partially hollow in structure. The first band-shaped member 110 has a thick fabric 111 and a thin fabric 112 both of which are stretchable and are formed as a band shape, and contains an inflatable pneumatic bag 114 within the hollow portion. Small pieces 115, which are made of an unstretchable material and are fixed to strips of tape 116 of a predetermined width, are aligned along the radially outward extremity of the inflatable pneumatic bag 114. The strips of tape 116 are stitched to the thick fabric 111 and the thin fabric 112 at the ends thereof with the ends being sandwiched between the edges of the thick fabric 111 and the thin fabric 112.
