The distal peripheral surface is opposite the proximal peripheral surface and extends from the upper surface to the lower surface. The second seam is spaced apart from the first seam. The first and second seams extend in a direction parallel to the proximal peripheral surface. The proximal peripheral surface engages the lower surface such that the substrate defines a first hollow support.

Abstract: A furniture assembly is disclosed that includes an article of furniture, two or more implements and an implement interlock system. The article of furniture includes at least one panel defining an implement-receiving cavity. The two or more implements are slidably-disposed within the implement-receiving cavity of the article of furniture. The implement interlock system includes: two or more cable guides attached to the at least one panel; a cable engagement device attached to each implement of the two or more implements; and a cable tensioning device, including a cable, attached to the at least one panel. A portion of a length of the cable extends through the two or more cable guides and is selectively-hooked by the cable engagement device attached to each implement of the two or more implements. An implement interlock system and a cable guide also are disclosed.

Abstract: A height-adjustable work surface assembly includes a base portion and a work portion, and may include a gas spring, an actuation mechanism, a rack, and a pinion. The work portion is supported by the base portion for translation along a first path of motion. The gas spring is actuatable between a locked position and an unlocked position, and is operable to apply a force on the work portion in the unlocked position to urge the work portion along the first path of motion. The actuation mechanism is coupled to the gas spring to move the gas spring from the locked to the unlocked position. The rack is supported by the work portion or the base portion and includes a first plurality of teeth. The pinion is supported by the other of the work portion and the base portion and includes a second plurality of teeth.

Abstract: A drawer glide having, among other things, a cabinet rail that includes a glide member and a wheel housing. The drawer glide further includes a drawer rail having a wheel and a glide lip. In operation, the cabinet rail is positioned on a cabinet and the drawer rail is positioned on a drawer. When the drawer is opened, the glide lip travels along the glide member and the wheel travels along the wheel housing. The drawer glide prevents slop, eliminates racking, increases drag and reduces noise. Further, the drawer glide is relatively easy to install on an article, such as RTA furniture.
