Abstract: A method for curing cementitious articles includes flowing dry steam and carbon dioxide (CO2) simultaneously into a curing chamber containing a cementitious article. A relative humidity within the curing chamber may be between about 50% and about 70% and a temperature within the curing chamber may be between about 50° C. and about 70° C. A dry steam and CO2 mixture with a CO2 concentration between 2.5 vol % and 40 vol % is provided in the curing chamber and the cementitious article is cured for a duration between about 4 hours and 16 hours. Cementitious products cured with the method may have a CO2 uptake of greater than 15 wt % and a mechanical strength at least 10% greater than a cementitious product cured only in dry steam or CO2.

Abstract: An inflating container filled with formation plugging fluid is deployed at the target zone by a rigless apparatus. The inflating container can be in valved fluid communication with an explosive filled container, the explosive being ignited using a firing mechanism that is attached to the explosive filled container. The explosion expands gases in the explosive filled container which pass into the inflation container and displace the formation plugging fluid into the balloon sections and through the weakened portions of the central balloon to penetrate the walls of the target zone. The expanded central balloon is melted by the heat of the chemical reaction and a portion adheres to the formation wall thereby sealing the undesirable target zone; thereafter, the remaining balloon sections are deflated or ruptured to permit the apparatus to be withdrawn through the production tubing.

Abstract: Steam pyrolysis and hydroprocessing are integrated including hydrogen redistribution to permit direct processing of crude oil feedstocks to produce petrochemicals including olefins and aromatics. A feed is initially split into a light portion and a heavy portion, and the heavy portion is hydroprocessed. A hydroprocessed effluent is charged, along with steam, to a convection section of a steam pyrolysis zone. The mixture is heated and passed to a vapor-liquid separation section. A residual portion is removed and light components are charged to a pyrolysis section of the steam pyrolysis zone. A mixed product stream is recovered from the steam pyrolysis zone and it is separated into product including olefins and aromatics.
