    Abstract: A memory card reader system includes bridges interposed between a memory card of a certain type and a memory card reader receiver which is them same for all receivers. The bridge may have the same or different contact patterns of a standard of a type of memory card and is readily removable and replaceable in order to change the type of memory card that may be used with that connector of the reader. A face plate prevents removal of a bridge until the face plate is moved from a normal position.
