Abstract: The invention relates to a device for automatically supplying tubular fabrics to a machine providing for pairing, cutting and sewing thereof to partially form such articles as pantyhose, drawers or the like. The partially formed article then transferred keeping the inlet portion or waist thereof correctly open, from the sewing machine to a station where a stripping device is inserted in the inlet portion or waist to strip the partially formed pantyhose from the subject device and to carry the same to a machine where the partially formed pantyhose are subjected to a successive processing operation.
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a support on which a rotatable wheel is mounted an area of the cylindrical surface whereof is in contact with a belt effective to press a yarn thereon which is led through an eye carried on an inlet arm and, respectively, through an eye carried on a yarn outlet arm, such arms being movable between a position whereat they hold the yarn in the nip between the belt and wheel, and a position whereat they hold the yarn out of contact with the belt. The inlet arm is positioned and dimensioned such that, in the condition whereby it holds the yarn inoperative, that is out of contact with the belt, the eye carried thereon is shifted to the opposite side of said belt relatively to a plane led through the longitudinal side edge of the belt lying closer to the eye; whereas, in the operative condition, the inlet arm eye is shifted to the same side of the belt relatively to said plane.
Abstract: A device for transferring tubular fabrics, particularly panty hose, the opening or mouth of which is fitted on support hangers which are spaced apart from one another and hold the mouth at an open position, and for transferring such tubular fabrics onto a rigid body adjacent to and aligned with the hangers by inverting the tubular fabrics on such rigid body. The device includes a slide longitudinally movable on a fixed guide, jaws mounted on the slide and includes four discrete rotable elements in two pairs on two discrete planes, a pan projecting forwardly of the slide and freely axially movable relative thereto against the action of a spring, plungers supported from the jaws which project for insertion in the mouth or opening of the tubular fabric as the slide moves forward, followed by lifting such fabric out of the support hangers when the jaws are spread out.
Abstract: Yarn feeding apparatus for knitting machines, particularly for circular knitting machines, including a rotatable roller or wheel, on which a belt operates and presses thereon a yarn passing on an eye carried by a yarn inserting arm and a yarn outlet arm, such arms being movable between a position for holding the yarn between the belt and roller or wheel, and a position at which the yarn is thereby held out of contact with the belt. The apparatus includes an eye, positioned between the belt and outlet arm, which is continuously laterally displaced relative to the belt, and on which the yarn let out from the apparatus passes before passing on the outlet arm. Thus, the time required for discontinuing the yarn supply by the involved apparatus is considerably shortened.

Abstract: Device for controlling the tension in the yarn unwinding from a yarn carrying body, a first shaped body being fast with the latter and having a continuous series of elongated flexible hairs inwardly projecting from its outer edge, the free end of said hairs being adjacent the free edge of an annular projection extending axially of the yarn carrying body. The device also comprises a second shaped body, coaxial with the first mentioned shaped body, having an annular projection extending therefrom, the free edge of this projection contacting said hairs at an intermediate location of the length thereof.
