  • Patent number: 12424062
Abstract: A central lottery system and method, incorporating a non-transitory computer-readable medium which facilitates providing a public lottery game. A lottery retailer communicates a player's lottery selections via an internet connection to a central lottery system. The central lottery system incorporates a database and database management subsystem. The system and method will produce a lottery drawing at a specific date and time that incorporates three random number sources to generate a primary random number selection (white, first random number source), and two secondary random number selections (gold and silver, bonus drawings). The second number source is used for selection of the gold bonus drawing, and the third number source selects the silver bonus drawing. The system, method, and non-transitory computer-readable medium include a computer configured with a game specification file created by the lottery office.

  • Patent number: 12315347
Abstract: A method and system which facilitate generation and submission of one or more lottery number entry combinations. The system consists of a smart device operated by a lottery player whereby, the smart device is downloaded with a lottery number generation application and the application is used by the lottery player to communicate via an internet connection to a central system. The central system incorporates a database and database management utility. The central system processes requests from the lottery player to establish a system account, manage monetary funds, and process lottery player's N-tuple number set submissions. The central system will also notify the lottery player by way of the player's email address, text message, or through the application of the final outcome of a lottery drawing previously selected by the lottery player if any number entry submission for the lottery drawing resulted in full or partial winning results.

  • Patent number: 11961372
Abstract: At least a method and an apparatus are provided for efficiently generating non-redundant machine-generated quick pick lottery game entries. A computer file is created that includes every possible combination of number groups eligible for being selected for a particular lottery game. The every possible combination within the file is randomly shuffled to create a randomized list of non-redundant entries. A file index with a file index pointer is assigned to the randomized list of non-redundant entries. The file index pointer is set to an initial position in the randomized list of non-redundant entries. Each non-redundant machine-generated lottery game entry is generated by only sequentially incrementing or only sequentially decrementing the file index pointer in the randomized list, and outputting the each non-redundant entry indicated by the file index pointer to a ticket request device.

  • Patent number: 10191993
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a computer based and web enabled sweepstakes system that utilizes automation methods and tools to define a sweepstakes specification and to download the specification to one or more internet based web servers is disclosed. The web servers will permit a sweepstakes contestant to enter personal information into a sweepstakes central database using a web page entry form. The web server will provide the contestant with a printable document. The contestant will send the printed document to a centralized processing center by way of a publically available delivery service. Once received at the processing center, the contestant's unique OMR code found on the printed document is optically scanned and compared to information in the web server contestant data base. If the OMR code is found in the data base a match status flag is set within the contestants' record.

  • Patent number: 8870084
Abstract: A method and apparatus for encoding and decoding sequential index numbers to pseudo-random Personal Identification Codes (PINs) of varying word size in disclosed. The word size is defined by a word size control variable. The encoding and decoding process utilizes a symmetric, secret key, block encryption/decryption method. The index numbers are encrypted and the output result produces the PIN numbers. The encryption process may be reversed to a decryption process using a mode control input. When reversed to decryption, the PIN numbers are translated back into the original index numbers utilizing the same secret key for encryption. The block size of the encryption/decryption method is matched to the word size control variable. The word size defines the maximum number of index number/PIN code pairs. There is a one-to-one correspondence between a single index number and the resulting PIN number, thus forming a unique ordered pair.
