    Abstract: A brace to reinforce the horizontal bearers of scaffolds is provided having a trough shaped rest mounted on a top edge of a planar bracket. The brace is held in place by support tubes extending upward from the scaffold posts. Clamps pivotally connected to each side of the bracket engage the ends of the support tubes.
