Abstract: Ways of providing efficient and cost-saving grinding of floors or of other similar surfaces by a grinding machine having replaceable grinding tools are disclosed. On an operator's console of the grinding machine, a number of parameters according to which the grinding machine is desired to operate are selected. Obtained measured values are fed back from the grinding machine via a control center to the operator's console, the grinding speed of the tools being arranged, via the operator's console, to be adjusted manually or that the same is automatically adjusted. Information about the wear of the tools is given to the operator's console from measuring members for the measurement. Apparatus implementing the ways are also disclosed.
Abstract: A device in a floor processing machine, which is drivable along a floor and has a number of floor processing tools rotatably driven by an engine with a coupling between a shaft of the engine and a shaft of a disc carrying the floor processing tools. The coupling is formed of an elastic, hole-shaped coupling ring which is slotted transversely to its circumferential direction and is connectable by its edge portions to the engine shaft and to a shaft of the coupling, respectively, the coupling ring being openable at its slotted portion for application and removal of the coupling ring to and from connection portions of the engine shaft and coupling shaft.
Abstract: The invention concerns proceeding and device for facilitating the handling of a manually drivable and mechanically operable grinding machine (1) for floors (3) and other similar surfaces and which grinding machine (1) comprises a rotatable grinding disc (2), which is driven by a motor (5) and carried by an articulated motor housing (9) supporting the grinding disc on the chassis (10) of the machine. According to the invention, the motor housing (9) in question is counterbalanced so that the same becomes balanced in relation to the chassis (10) of the machine.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) at a mobile grinding machine (2) for stone materials and that comprises a rotatably driven disc-shaped housing (3), which is arranged to support a plurality of grinding disc holders (6) rotatably driven by a belt (5) or chain driven by a motor (4), which holders are distributed along the circumference of said housing (3) and supported by shafts (11) connected to said housing (3) at a mutual distance from each other. According to the invention, internally (7) in a casing (8), which surrounds a said housing (3), a gear rim (10), situated concentrically with a centre driving shaft (9), is arranged non-turnably connected to the casing (8). The grinding disc holder shafts (11) support an intermediate coupling cogwheel (18) each that co-operates non-turnably with the appurtenant shaft and with said gear rim.
