Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement for preventing the unauthorized passage of a motor vehicle (1) past a specific location. According to the invention the arrangement includes a transmitter (4) which delivers a specific radio signal of limited range is mounted at said specific location. The vehicle (1) has installed therein a receiver (3) which responds to the specific radio signal and which upon receipt of said specific signal activates a vehicle-mounted check means (5) which checks whether or not the vehicle is authorized to pass said specific location and which is constructed to activate one or more electronic circuits in the vehicle in a manner to render said vehicle inoperable when said vehicle is not authorized to pass said specific location.

Abstract: A device for coding a cable bunch having a plurality of conductors of mutually different colors or color combinations. A first electrical connector (6) is provided on one end of the cable bunch and a second electrical connector (7) is connected to the device (8) to which the cable bunch (10) is to be connected, wherein the electrical connectors have a number of connector pins to which the conductors are connected individually. The electrical connectors when connected together are intended to transmit current or a signal from each of the conductors in the cable bunch to a predetermined connector pin in the second electrical connector. There is provided along the cable bunch (10) a locking device (11) which includes a code unit (12) which is constructed to break and connect one or more conductors incoming from the cable bunch (10) to the code unit (12) to the same number of conductors outgoing from the code unit.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for remotely controlling one or more vehicle functions. The method includes providing a first coded signal transmitted by a cordless transmitter. The signal is received in a receiver located in the vehicle. The receiver includes a decoding device to detect and identify the code and to compare the signal code with a vehicle specific code. When agreement is found between the received code and the vehicle specific code, the receiver activates one or more electronic circuits in the vehicle through the agency of a control circuit, such as to deactivate one or more of the vehicle functions. The method also includes transmitting from the cordless transmitter a second coded signal which results in the activation of those vehicle functions that were earlier deactivated.
