  • Publication number: 20100292036
Abstract: A tensioning device for the endless drive in a timing system on a motor vehicle, which has a tensioning piston that can move along a path axis in a housing, within which a pressure chamber is located which houses a working medium which brings about a movement of the tensioning piston in the housing and has a valve seat, connected to the exterior of the tensioning piston by an outlet and accommodating a valve body essentially matching the shape of the valve seat. The valve body is tapered along the axial path axis to the outlet, which allows for a large chamber between the valve body and the valve seat. The path that the working medium, on bleeding gas bubbles from the same, takes from the pressure chamber to the outlet is longer, which increases the hydraulic resistance and restricts and limits emptying of working medium from the tensioning piston.

  • Publication number: 20100284736
Abstract: For torque transmission, for example between an articulated shaft and a hub to a drive motor vehicle wheel, it is necessary to non-rotatably couple the articulated shaft or a corresponding intermediate piece and the hub to each other. For this purpose, a coupling element, particularly a hub element, is proposed for transmitting torque about a rotational axis that is oriented in an axial direction and has a serration, which extends in the peripheral direction about the rotational axis. The serration has a plurality of teeth. Each tooth is configured as a triangle in a longitudinal section along the peripheral direction such that two tooth faces are formed, which end in a tooth head region, and at least one of the tooth faces is configured convexly in the longitudinal section with respect to an imaginary straight reference tooth face.

  • Publication number: 20100282002
Abstract: A measuring device, a method, and a shaft arrangement. The device enables and detects a robust and simultaneously precise measurement of torque, a torque variation and/or an equivalent variable. The device has a signal emitter that can be and/or is connected to the shaft in a rotationally fixed manner, a signal receiver to detect signals from the signal emitter and emit a measuring signal which has a constituent dependent on rotational speed, according to the detection of the signals of the signal emitter. The measuring device also has an evaluation device for determining the torque operating state of the shaft on the basis of, and/or, by evaluation of the measuring signal. The evaluation device carries out and/or completes the determination of the torque operating state by analyzing signal constituents of the measuring signal that have a limiting frequency which is higher than the current rotational frequency of the shaft.
