Patents Assigned to Schafer Werke GmbH
  • Patent number: 6820775
Abstract: A beverage container has a cylindrical lower side wall and floor defining a lower beverage chamber and centered on an axis, a cylindrical upper side wall and upper wall centered on the axis and defining an upper pressurized-gas chamber, and an annular partition having an outer edge welded to an upper edge of the lower side wall and a lower edge of the upper side wall and a center part closely juxtaposed with the upper wall of the upper chamber. A tap assembly mounted on the upper-chamber upper wall has a riser tube projecting through the partition center part into a lower region of the lower chamber. An upper protective ring is fitted to the upper part and to the valve assembly and a lower protective ring is fitted to the lower part. The rings and side walls have the same diameters.

  • Patent number: 6241116
Abstract: A container of metal capable of withstanding an internal overpressure includes a hollow vessel for containing contents having an essentially cylindrical side wall and two outwardly curved end walls formed as partial spherical surfaces. At least one of the curved end walls has a central bulge protruding as a cup-shaped bottom from the curved end wall. A container connecting pipe is mounted on the central bulge of the at least one curved end wall. An intended breaking point is integrated in at least one of the partial spherical surfaces formed by one of the end walls, wherein the intended breaking point is a notch formed in an outer side of the end wall, and wherein the notch has varying depths with a maximum depth and a minimum depth.

  • Patent number: 5617969
Abstract: In a safety lock for a container connection (3), at least two cams (9, 10) are arranged at the contacting surfaces of the container connection part (4) and lock part (5) and cooperate with a radially open groove (7) extending in the circumferential direction and with at least two axially parallel grooves (6 and 8) at the counterpart (5 or 4) in the manner of a bayonet catch. In order to obtain a safety lock system having a plurality of safe combination pairs which are absolutely safeguarded against interchanging, it is suggested that the combination pairs having a plurality of cams (9 and 10) and axially parallel grooves (6 and 8) at the container connection part (4) and at the lock part (5) have different circumferential (angular) distances (X1) from one another in the circumferential direction in a plurality of container connections of the same type.

  • Patent number: 4282974
Abstract: A plastic encased metal barrel has annular stack edges of plastic, which axially project beyond the barrel bottom and top. The top and bottom stack edges form annular noses which project axially. The diameters of the annular noses are so related to one another that the annular nose on one stack edge can grip over the annular nose on the other stack edge. The top and bottom barrel ends are preferably arcuate and one end carries a bung socket. The outer coating or shell of plastic is preferably foam. The bung socket is surrounded by a reinforcing sheet metal plate enveloped by the plastic. The plastic coat forms a substantially plane surface which surrounds the bung socket and serves as an inscription field, wherein the inscription is formed at least in part by indentations in the plastic mass.
