  • Patent number: 7039101
Abstract: A device for multi-channel signal transmission between mobile units, including at least one first transmitter/unit that is coupled to at least one second transmitter/receiver unit via transmitting means. Further more the first transmitter/receiver unit and the second transmitter/receiver unit provide mutually tuned filter banks that filter predetermined characteristic spectral fractions out of the signal to be transmitted and which combine these signals to form a cumulative signal in the cast of transmission, that pass on these signals via directional switches which separate the signals of the transmission and reception path from each other or combine transmitted and received signals in such a way that they will be transmitted via common transmitting means.

  • Patent number: 7010959
Abstract: In a device and a method for measuring path lengths, particularly of brushes in sliding contacts, an air stream having a regularly fluctuating pressure is provided by a pump and conducted via an air supply line and a nozzle to an object to be measured. The object is disposed so that its length or position affects the flow resistance of passing air. A consequent pressure drop in the supply line is determined with a pressure sensor, and an evaluation unit computes, in particular from the difference between maximum and minimum air pressure, a length of the object as a function of the pressure difference. In another embodiment of the invention, pressurized air is supplied from a pump to an object to be measured, and a sensor is disposed to detect a pressure change when the object has attained a predetermined length.

  • Patent number: 6813316
Abstract: What is described here is an array for the transmission of electrical energy or signals, respectively, between a base station and several external units adapted to be coupled, without contact, to various positions on said base station. The invention is characterised by the provisions that the primary side circuitry of a power supply with potential isolation is provided on each connecting position of the central unit, and that each of said external units includes the corresponding circuitry of the secondary side, with the power transmission being realised via an inductive coupler element that replaces the transformer that is usually used in such a power supply, and that the feedback signals are transmitted by means of a further non-contacting coupler element from said external units back to said base unit.
