Abstract: A sensor device includes an elongated housing containing particle motion sensors spaced apart along a longitudinal axis of the elongated housing, where the elongated housing has a width. A second portion includes communication circuitry to communicate over a communication medium, the second portion coupled to the elongated housing and having a width that is greater than the width of the elongated housing. The second portion includes an impact surface that is above a top surface of the second portion, the impact surface to receive an impact force for deploying the sensor device into a ground surface. The second portion further includes a connector structure to mechanically connect the impact surface to the elongated housing.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to the oil and gas industry, in particular, to a composite proppant modified by a polymeric carrier for the purpose of improving transport properties and delayed release of inhibitors from proppant. A composite proppant is provided which comprises at least one solid particle attached to at least one polymeric carrier facilitating a decrease in the composite proppant settling rate, where the polymeric carrier comprises inclusions of at least one inhibitor for inorganic or organic scales. The disclosure also relates to a method for manufacturing of such composite proppant and methods for using the same during hydraulic fracturing of a subterranean formation, and for treatment of organic fossils during downhole production after hydraulic fracturing of subterranean formation.
Abstract: A system for real-time data surveillance in an oilfield operation includes a data collection system deployed at a well site for collecting oilfield data; an office-based computer system for storing and analyzing the oilfield data; a portable device, wherein the portable device includes at least one program for communicating with the office-based computer system, for surveying the oilfield data stored in the office-based computer system, and for causing the office-based computer system to perform a process implemented on the office-based computer system; and a communication system providing communication links among the data collection system, the office-based computer system, and the portable device.

Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for automatically correcting for depth errors in measurements taken from a drill-string during the drilling phase of the construction of a hydrocarbon wellbore. The correction is based on a stress profile which in turn is based on the states of the drilling rig, drill string description length spec, borehole description trajectory, friction factor and weight on bit.
