Patents Assigned to Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Technology GmbH
  • Patent number: 9889514
Abstract: A spark erosion tool includes an electrode arranged on a tool longitudinal axis and an electrode holder aligned along and arranged on the axis and connected to the electrode. The electrode holder includes a moving device for moving the electrode relative to the electrode holder and includes a press for applying pressure transversely to the axis in the area of an imaginary hose extending in the axis. The electrode holder has a cross section corresponding essentially to the electrode. An electrode for a spark erosion tool with a cylinder surface or a spherical surface includes a groove connected to a bore. A deflecting bore can be produced in a drill string part using the spark erosion tool. The deflecting bore is curved and connects two straight flushing bores.

Abstract: A spark erosion tool (101, 102) is defined which comprises an electrode (301, 302) arranged on a tool longitudinal axis (2) and an electrode holder (401 . . . 417) aligned along the tool longitudinal axis (2) and arranged on the latter and connected to the electrode (301, 302). The electrode holder (401 . . . 417) comprises means for moving the electrode (301, 302) relative to the electrode holder (401 . . . 417) and means (6, 11, 12, 13, 15) for applying pressure acting transversely to the tool longitudinal axis (2) in the area of an imaginary hose (7) extending in the tool longitudinal axis (2), which has a cross section corresponding essentially to the electrode (301, 302). Furthermore, a method is defined of how the spark erosion tool (101, 102) can be used. In addition, an electrode (302) is defined for a spark erosion tool with a cylinder surface or a spherical surface, in which at least one groove (35) connected to a bore (36) is arranged.

  • Patent number: 7824135
Abstract: The invention relates to a drill (4) and a device or a method for drilling boreholes in workpieces (3), in which a periodically acting radial force (19) is exerted on the drill head (5) of the drill (4). The drill head (5) of the drill (4) has a cutting edge (52) extending only over a part of the diameter D (51) and is designed to have a lateral, V-shaped chip removing groove or bead (59) and with a channel (12) with an outlet opening (56) in the drill head (5) for supplying a drill fluid (9). On a drill side (61) of the drill head (5) opposite the bead (59) between a first and a second cylinder casing partial surface (64, 65) of the drill head (5) a rear offset (63) is formed which reduces the cross section of the drill head (5) in relation to an enclosing cylinder casing surface (61) of the drill head (5).
