Patent number: 11192697Abstract: A container cover and assembly provide an extremely low profiled edge to the container cover when the container cover is secured or attached to a complementary container. Using such a low profile results in less of an edge being exposed such that its profile works to prevent inadvertent opening of the hinged lid from the container cover and also prevent removal of the container cover from the container. The container cover comprises two halves that are integrally-molded. The two halves are connected by a common pivot point or hinge that is disposed to one side of each half which allows the halves to be folded over and onto one another. The structure of the container cover and integrally-formed hinged lid can be formed using a one-shot plastic injection molding process. This simplifies and speeds up the production process for manufacturing the container cover and hinged lid combination.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2020Date of Patent: December 7, 2021Assignee: SCHOENECK CONTAINERS, INC.Inventor: Joshua R. Patent number: 11059657Abstract: An assembly comprises a container, a primary container cover, and a secondary flip up cover. The primary container cover comprises a two-shot injection molded component and includes an integrally-formed seal. The integrally-formed seal is designed to reduce or eliminate evaporation occurring between the container and the primary cover. The integrally-formed seal is further designed to reduce or eliminate evaporation occurring between the primary cover and the secondary flip up cover.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2020Date of Patent: July 13, 2021Assignee: SCHOENECK CONTAINERS, INC.Inventor: Thomas R. Publication number: 20210039843Abstract: A container cover comprises two halves that are integrally-molded. The two halves are connected by a common pivot point or hinge that is disposed to one side of each half which allows the halves to be folded over and onto one another. One half is a solid cover or lid structure (the “lid”) and one half is a ring-like base structure (the “base”), both of which are intended to be disposed atop a container, with the base in direct contact with the container although the lid and base could be modified the include other engaging structure. The lid is configured to fit with and engage the base via the common hinge or pivot point. Opposite the hinge point of each structure is part of a lock structure that provides the tamper-evident functionality when the lid is folded over and attached to the base.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2020Publication date: February 11, 2021Applicant: SCHOENECK CONTAINERS, INC.Inventors: Joshua R.
