Publication number: 20240309632Abstract: A portable modular shelter, wall assembly, and method of assembly include a plurality of wall panels and a plurality of wall brackets operatively attached to the wall panels. A plurality of connector columns are configured to join two of the wall brackets together, such that two of the wall panels are operatively joined by each connector column. The wall bracket includes an L-shaped member, and the connector column includes a U-shaped member. Therefore, two of the L-shaped members of the wall brackets fit within the U-shaped member of each connector column. A bottom track and a top track are configured to hold the wall panels, wall brackets, and connector columns. A plurality of connector elements are configured to attach the bottom and top tracks to one or more of the connector columns. In some configurations, the connector elements are retractable spring pins.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2022Publication date: September 19, 2024Applicant: Schofield Technologies, Inc.Inventor: William J. Patent number: 12071762Abstract: A modular wall building system includes a plurality of course modules which can be connected to form a wall such as a wall of a building structure. A course module includes inner and outer wall panels connected by upper and lower panel connectors via connector pins which are received by receiving rails extending from interior surfaces of the inner and outer wall panels. The course modules include wall course modules, bottom course modules and top course modules. Door and window modules can be installed to the building structure by attachment to the course modules. The panel connectors include structural openings for receiving vertical structural members. The wall building system includes a bottom plate structure and tie down system for attachment of the wall structure to a foundation, and a top plate structure including truss connectors for attaching a roof structure.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2023Date of Patent: August 27, 2024Assignee: Schofield Technologies, Inc.Inventor: William J. Publication number: 20240254789Abstract: A lightweight modular shelter, and method for assembling a shelter. The shelter includes first and second panels and first and second panel connectors. The panel connectors have a panel edge channel operatively connected to sides of the first and second panels, and have a connector plug and a connector socket. The connector plug of the first panel connector is inserted into the connector socket of the second panel connector, such that the first panel and the second panel are operatively connected. The shelter may also include a bottom track, where the first panel, the second panel, the first panel connector, and the second panel connector are mated to the bottom track. Methods include attaching the panels and connectors, along with corner connectors, to the bottom track to form a freestanding structure. Roof panels and connectors and gable panels and connectors may be attached thereto.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2022Publication date: August 1, 2024Applicant: Schofield Technologies, Inc.Inventors: William J. Schofield, Gerard J. Kmita, Daniel Scott Cannon, Jeremy Masser
