  • Patent number: 6447014
Abstract: The invention relates to a multilayer label comprising at least one authenticity feature (5), which authenticity feature (5) consists of at least two parts (51, 52) positioned on different layers (1, 2) of the label. The authenticity feature (5) can be a barcode which can consist of at least two parts (51, 52) positioned on different layers (1, 2) of the label. The barcode can have m lines of which n lines are arranged on one layer (1) of the label and m-n lines are arranged on another layer (2) of the label, where m>n>0. The label can have a lower layer (2) and an upper layer (1), with the lower layer (2) having a greater surface area than the at least one layer (1) positioned on top of it. The upper side and/or lower side of at least one of the layers (1, 2) can be coated with an adhesive at least in sections and/or at least in points.

  • Patent number: 6066437
Abstract: This invention relates to film which is lettered with a laser beam comprising at least one protective film which is transparent to the laser beam, at least one opaque layer which is ablated by the laser beam, and at least one contrast-forming layer on its bottom. The abatable layer is preferably a metallic layer and can have a color like the contrast-forming layer. The color of the metallic layer is different from the color of the contrast-forming layer. The contrast-forming layer is either applied, imprinted or varnished onto the metallic layer. The contrast-forming layer can be at least one plastic film. On a side of the contrast-forming layer facing away from the metallic layer there is an adhesive layer which is covered with a carrier material, for example, an adhesive-repellant carrier film.

  • Patent number: 5967560
Abstract: A label made of a rectangular layer comprises, as an integral part thereof, a suspension strap which is defined by a die cut line extending along most of the periphery of the layer between two roots at which the suspension strap remains joined to the remaining central portion of the label. The roots have a mutual distance of half a perimeter of the bottle to be labeled and the total length of the label is preferably approximately equal to the perimeter of the bottle. Preferably, one of the two roots is located near the leading edge of the label when this is applied to the bottle by an automatic dispenser. The label provides a large surface for printed information which is not interrupted by the suspension strap. Also a booklet may be attached to the label.
