Abstract: A veterinary table assembly having a support assembly and a table mounted to the support assembly. The table is operable to rotate with respect to the support assembly at least approximately 90 degrees between a first position and a second position. Preferably, the table is also operable to move vertically between a lowered position and a raised position. The table assembly also preferably includes a back panel mounted to the support assembly for restraining an animal on the table.

Abstract: A door assembly for pivotally securing a door to an animal enclosure or other enclosure. The door assembly comprises a pivot pin assembly integrally formed with the door and a hinge secured to the enclosure adjacent the opening. The pivot pin assembly preferably comprises a vertically oriented pivot pin integrally formed with upper and lower horizontal support members extending from upper and lower ends of the pivot pin across a portion of the door. The pivot pin is fitted within a hinge barrel formed within the hinge in a manner to permit the pivot pin to rotate within the barrel such that the door may be pivoted from an open to a closed position.

Abstract: A pet cage dryer comprising a cage and a fan assembly mounted thereon for drying the wet coat of a pet animal housed inside the cage. In use, the fan assembly directs a high volume of ambient temperature air across substantially the entire interior region of the cage such that the air dries substantially every surface of the pet's coat at the same time. As a result, the pet cage dryer is able to dry the pet's coat in a relatively short period of time without the use of heated air and without any manual intervention on the part of a groomer during the drying process.

Abstract: A device and method for securing at least one, and normally a plurality of supply stands in one localized area of a patient table. The device generally comprises a mounting means for removably attaching the device to the patient table and a clamping means for removably clamping the post of the supply stand to the device. The clamping means comprises a restraining member having at least one opening and a shiftable cylinder proximate to the opening in the restraining member for receiving and rigidly maintaining the post of the supply stand perpendicularly to the patient table.

Abstract: An animal surgery table having an electrical heating pad disposed immediately beneath the operating surface and thermostatically controlled by a temperature sensor embedded within the heating pad for preventing heat loss from animals during surgery is disclosed.

Abstract: An animal cage having a hinged door with extending horizontal latching pins that engage a latch is disclosed. The latch is provided with sound deadening parts and spacers to provide quiet operation.

Abstract: A surgical lamp having four quartz-halogen lamps and color-correcting glass filters that also shield the light bulbs provides flat shadow-free intense lighting having a color temperature of at least about 3,500.degree. K. for surgical purposes and includes a shroud having lower ventilating openings, interior baffles for directing the flow of warm air along a plurality of chimneys, and a plurality of ventilating holes in the top of the shroud. The surgical lamp may also include a floor stand or ceiling mount, and includes an arm having a number of pivot points that allow the surgeon to adjust the position of the light by grasping the handle and moving the light to the desired location.

Abstract: A lamp assembly for surgery and the like includes a ceiling mounted track having opposed internal channels, a carriage assembly that rides in the track and that is connected to a depending tubular stem which terminates in a control head having a lighthead fastened to it. A switch on the control head energizes a solenoid having a movable core that acts through mechanical linkage to retract a pair of opposing brakes from engagement against the side walls of the track, thereby allowing the lamp assembly to be moved along the track easily. When the solenoid is de-energized, a compression spring urges the brakes firmly against the side walls of the track, locking the light assembly in place along the track.
