    Abstract: The instant invention relates to an open-end spinning device in which the spinning rotor is mounted on the drive shaft. The bearing and braking means are designed so that the spinning rotor can also be operated and braked securely at high rotational speeds. This is achieved by installing the braking means between the open end of the spinning rotor and the rotor shaft bearing system.
