  • Patent number: 11413988
Abstract: Clutch-based adjustment mechanism for motorized multi-way seat adjustment An adjustment mechanism comprises multiple screw shafts (111, 112, 113) and a motor (150) for driving the screw shafts. Further, the adjustment mechanism comprises a clutch mechanism (160) for selectively engaging the motor (150) with one or more of the screw shafts (111, 112, 113). A rotation of one or more of the screw shafts (111, 12, 113) caused by the motor (150) translates into adjustment of the seat according to a first degree of freedom. A rotation of one or more others of the screw shafts (111, 12, 113) caused by the motor (150) translates into adjustment of the seat according to a second degree of freedom.

  • Patent number: 11377007
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for a seat comprises at least one screw shaft (111, 112) and a motor for driving the at least one screw shaft (111, 112). Further, the adjustment mechanism comprises at least one nut element (121, 122) engaged with the at least one screw shaft (121, 122) in such a way that a rotation of the at least one screw shaft (111, 112) caused by the motor translates into a linear motion of the at least one nut element (121, 122). In a first range of the linear motion of the at least one nut element (121, 122) the linear motion translates into adjustment of the seat according to a first degree of freedom, and in a second range of the linear motion of the at least one nut element (121, 122) the linear motion translates into adjustment of the seat according to a second degree of freedom.

  • Patent number: 11052802
Abstract: A device (219) includes a housing (301) and a link (320) displaceably arranged in the housing (301) and having an input port (323) configured to receive an input force (269) oriented along a first axis (91), a first output port (321) configured to provide a first output force (261) based on the input force (259, 269), and a second output port (322) configured to provide a second output force (262) based on the input force (259, 269). The link (320) is configured to move the first output port (321) from a start position (291) to a stop position along the first axis (91) by a first distance in response to receiving the input force (269) and to move the second output port (322) from the start position (291) to the stop position (294) along the first axis (91) by a second distance (422) in response to receiving the input force (259, 269). The first distance is smaller than the second distance.

  • Patent number: 10851566
Abstract: A latch actuator comprises a motor, a speed reduction gearing coupled to an output shaft of the motor, a spindle, and a motion conversion mechanism. The spindle has a threaded portion in engagement with the speed reduction gearing. The spindle is supported to be rotatable about an axis. The threaded portion is rotationally fixed relative to the spindle. The motion conversion mechanism is configured to cause a displacement of the spindle along the axis when the spindle rotates.

  • Patent number: 10780798
Abstract: A seat component adjustment actuator (1) comprises a housing, an electric motor (5), and a gearing (10) coupled to the electric motor (5) and comprising at least three worm transmission stages (11-16). A first worm transmission stage (11, 12) comprises a first worm (11) and a first worm gear (12) engaged with the first worm (11). A third worm transmission stage (15, 16) comprises a third worm (15) and a third worm gear (16) engaged with the third worm (15). The first worm (11) is supported in the housing such that the first worm (11) is rotatable about an input rotation axis. The third worm gear (16) is supported in the housing such that the third worm gear (16) is rotatable about an output rotation axis which is transverse to the input rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 6334651
Abstract: An actuator for a manually operated lumbar support system provides for an in-out directional adjustment of a flexible member via control of tension in a cable through rotary motion of a lever or knob attached to a driving shaft associated with a directional one-way locking clutch that slips in either direction under manual actuation and locks when no manual actuation occurs or movement stops. A housing and an eccentric hub combine to form a wedge space. Several locking members, such as rollers or balls, are used to lock the rotation in response to tension from the cable, but only one locking member exists in each wedge space. The designed locking direction may be either clockwise or counterclockwise, as desired. The drive shaft has fingers associated with each locking member to move the locking members to release the clutch in the opposite direction. The tension of the cable may be used to lock the actuator in one direction.
