  • Patent number: 11105217
Abstract: A turbine generator contains a turbine part and a generator part. The turbine contains a turbine wheel. A sealing arrangement is arranged between the turbine wheel and the generator part, the sealing effect of which varies during operation. The generator part further has a generator shaft, which is supported by an axial bearing configured as a magnetic bearing with two coils axially spaced apart from each other. A bearing ring is arranged between these coils with an axial distance from the coils. To ensure a safe operation, a setpoint value for the axial distance is varied to change the sealing effect of the sealing arrangement. Alternatively or additionally, it is provided that when a current threshold of a coil current is exceeded, a control signal is emitted to control the flow of the medium or the rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 10010928
Abstract: A device for direct screwing, in particular flow hole screwing, or friction welding includes a guide element extending in an axial direction and being formed in particular as a guide pipe. A driveshaft is movable in the axial direction, disposed within the guide element and driven by a rotary drive. A feed drive is disposed and constructed to generate a feed movement and feed force transmitted to the driveshaft, which is achieved by a feed unit. During the process, depending on a process parameter, a switchover is made from a high feed force to a reduced feed force (flow hole screwing) or to a higher feed force (friction welding). In order to enable the most compact and weight-saving embodiment possible, the feed unit is disposed coaxially to the driveshaft within the guide element and transmits the feed force to the driveshaft in the axial direction and centrally.

  • Patent number: 9901974
Abstract: A method for direct screwing, in particular flow hole screwing, includes producing a hole in a first stage in a structural component without cutting and forming a thread with a flow hole screw in a second stage. A feed and feed force are produced by a non-pneumatic feed drive and transmitted to a screw shaft rotated by high feed force and high rotational speed in the first stage and at a defined switchover point with penetration of the structural component a switchover is made to the second stage with lower feed force and slower rotational speed. A drive parameter correlated to the feed force, especially a motor current of an electric motor of the feed drive, is monitored and a characteristic change of this parameter is defined as switchover point. A rapid switchover with process stability is attained and damage to the flow hole screw thread is avoided.

  • Patent number: 7251972
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for reshaping a tube having an initial outside diameter, an initial wall thickness, and an initial length to form a tube have a reshaped outside diameter, a reshaped length, and a reshaped wall thickness, wherein at least one of the reshaped outside diameter, the reshaped length, and the reshaped wall thickness is different than a respective one of the initial outside diameter, the initial wall thickness, and the initial length. The method includes mounting the tube between two axially displaceable pressure rams with the ends of the tube against respective rams; applying an internal hydraulic pressure to the tube; applying an axial mechanical pressure to the tube via the rams; and simultaneously and uniformly cold-working the tube over its entire length by adjusting the internal hydraulic pressure and the axial mechanical pressure as a function of the reshaped outside diameter, the reshaped wall thickness, and the reshaped length.
